Why did you abandon us so quickly? You were neither the hero we deserved, nor the one we needed, but you were ours.

I always loved how Mr.America fought for the rights of every man. If you ever tried to harm one of his buddies or his self esteem...no way would he be cool with that.

I actually liked the Mr. America angle. They were using Hogan really well at that time, as a part of the show, but not overwhelming it.

I mean, I could see why people would think he was Hogan. I mean... both were immensely popular, mostly with kids.... adults would openly speak of their hate for him, but begrudgingly give him respect. They would complain of his limited moveset, yet... you can't deny it would pop the crowd. Sure, his promos were usually corny, cheesy, and would rely on pandering to the crowd... but it'd work. I mean, when you think of it... when he was on top, it seemed like he was ALWAYS on top, despite tons of other contenders who could have done a great job at the top. I mean, hell.. here was even a cartoon made of him.
... wait a second.
... can we completely rule out the idea that Mr. America was John Cena???
We're through the looking glass here, people.

Why are we discussing Hogan in this thread? He was sent home by Vince McMahon weeks before Mr. America debuted. There is no connection between these two!

I avoided spoilers that week for SD, I think. I had no idea it was going to be Hogan until his music hit.The way he was built and debut on Piper's Pit - I was expecting a know-it-all heel. "I am your American hero" type deal

Looking back on it, this storyline was gold. The lie detector segment with Vince cracks me up, but maybe that just says something about me...

I hear Mr America is very bitter that his run was cut short by Hogan and resents him to this day.

It was obviously Christopher Daniels. And I think Hulk Hogan may very well have been Curry Man. He was active in TNA up until about a year before Hogan showed up. And now that Hogan is conveniently gone from TNA, Curry Man has started showing up on Impact again. IT ALL MAKES SENSE.

I thought it was quite silly. Not in a bad way (well, except for the Zach Gowen crap), but in a "why must they put him under a mask" sort of thing.
I thought it would have been cooler if we got Machine Hulk back instead.

If you don't laugh at Vince McMahon hooked up to a lie detector and failing every question regarding his morality, then you have no soul.
