I don't know how late I am in noticing this, but wtf happened to the prices for bags of chips? When did the 99 cent/1.29 snack bag go? I feel like I'm getting ripped off with this new 1.49 bag. Also why the f*** are these bags now 3$ and have less chicharonies than the old two dollar bag?  |

The price probably goes up because the companies know the consumer will pay for it.
It's like the major coffee house charging $3+ for a half lemonade/half ice tea when you can get the same thing in a size five times bigger for $2.50-3.00 from the local market or Giant stores.

They raise the price, but not the quantity. I remember when those 2 for $1 bags were just 25 cents. Buying on them, a brownie, and a package of crackers was only 75 cents and allowed you snack satisfaction.

It pisses me off that at vending machines at work a bag of chips is $1.15 now. I'm sticking with sunflower seeds as my work snack of choice they thankfully are still 2 for a dollar.
