www.nytimes.com/2011/09/06/health/06annoy.html?_r=0Seriously I'm in goddamn rage in my own head at work. My coworkers are annoying the f*** out me with every little noise they make especially the chewing. Every time I hear someone chew it feels like a drill going through my brain. I feel like I'm going crazy, chewing, typing, shuffling food bags, breathing, the sound of them swallowing, it's all torturous. It's odd because I love music, the sound of traffic, and other noises, but any little noise a person happens to be making pisses me off to no end. Anyone else here have this issue?

Hmm. I'm not a doctor, hell, I don't even play on TV, but it reads to me that at work you're just trying to concentrate and those little, grating noises are preventing you from doing so.
You go to clubs often, right? At clubs, you're not trying to focus on work, nor are you if you're in traffic, so perhaps it's that you're trying your hardest to concentrate and something's getting in your way.
Is this everywhere or just when you're at work?
Again, not a doctor, but I'm just curious.

Reminds me when I was in college I would type my papers in a common room in my dorm on my laptop. While doing this I'd plug in a headphone jack and listen to music I had on my hard drive to distract myself from other distractions (if that makes any sense). While this happened, my neighbors would play Halo online against each other from across the hall. So there'd be a lot of sounds of explosions and them talking shit to each other. Yet listening to music and my neighbors loudly playing Halo against each other wasn't anywhere near as distracting as the time I tried to get some work done in the library and I was sitting next to a girl who was on the phone with her boyfriend having a way too cutesy long goodbye. That just pierced through any kind of concentration I had going for me.
