He likes Jimmy Valiant. At a Tribute to Louisville Gardens in 2004, Jim got on the mic and credited Jimmy with giving him his start in wrestling and Jimmy not acting like too big a celebrity to help out a young guy (Jim) wanting to break in the business. Pretty cool to hear that, as a friend of Jimmy's and also as a person who hates hearing of the opposite attitude from experienced guys. He also likes Nikolai Volkoff as he seemed very excited to see him at a recent convention.
Jim respects the fans, I'm sure of it. He was at the recent Legends of the Ring convention in New Jersey and this is a show where the guys go to make money. Some or their agents, know the fans will pay and they charge higher prices than some. Jim was signing free autographs on whatever the fan brought to him. Also took free photo ops. This is an extremely rare act at these shows. I see Jim as a fan foremost, similar to what JR said at his Hall of Fame speech, and I think that's why Jim get so angry sometimes. He feels like the fans are being insulted with some of the product they are being offered by an organization or the writers or promoters.

Cornette's whole existence is work, I'm sure. Tremendously entertaining however but you imagine each time he goes to the fridge to make a sandwich, if the jar of pickle is empty he'll stand there cutting a 10 minute 'shoot' promo into the fridge expressing his anger.

Yes. The Jim Cornette Experience on MLW Radio. Look for MLW Radio on iTunes. Konnan also has a show with MLW Radio.

I actually talked to Cornette at a ROH card for about two minutes, he was actually a nice guy. It was the ROH card with Steen and Jacobs against The Briscoes and he talked about the Wargames match that took place in Milwaukee that I didn't even know about. I think he'll come back to the WWE with the network launching and he'll host the Mid South show or if they ever sort the Memphis library out.

How's Cornette getting on with the Kayfabe Commentaries crew these days? They had a falling out over the Russo Live Shoot but have since made up and he has a couple of shoots with them coming out next year.

Secretly loves: Vince Russo. The Louisville Lip doth protest too much, methinks He likes Sunny. He may say some bad stuff about her but he still likes her. Well he did call her a c*** in his YouShoot interview. But he assured us that he meant that in the nicest way possible!

Loved hearing the story about when did a surprise appearance at the ECW Arena in 1997. Best story in his WWE Timeline dvd. They got Jim Cornette doing a Breaking Kayfabe January 7th. Don't think he's too fond of Chyna as well.

I think he's buddies with Jericho. Wasn't he with him during that infamous drive-through incident?

I think he likes Davey richards but dislikes Kevin Steen, El Generico, Colt Cabana and Austin Aries. yeah in a recent interview he said he loves DAvey, but he doesn't understand the concept of the business side of wrestling. He says Steen is in wrestling to wrestle in front of 500 people rather than to be the best in the world. Dunno how he feels about Generico,Canana, and Aries but he said that Gabe,Pearce, and Delirious all told him that the toughest people to deal with from a booking standpoint was Steen and Generico, but he seemed to give more blame to Steen

I remember he had some words for Joey Styles after Joey tweeted something about politics. Not sure if it'd count as dislike. I remember this when Styles went off on Obama on Twitter. Cornette is surprisingly a very liberal-minded person. I like.

If they show the entire SMW collection chronologically, I'd watch. I don't know if they own that footage or not. I didn't approve of the WWE buying all these video libraries but when you think of it, they obviously have/had plans to use it in some capacity. A network with shows devoted to each of the many territories, their histories and video footage would be something that would appeal to me. I really enjoy watching older wrestling shows. You can basically watch history unfold if you know what happened after each show, etc.

I think there's only a few people that Cornette actually dislikes. Vince Russo, Kevin Dunn, John Laurinaitis, Shawn Michaels etc.
There's a lot of guys who he's had issues with but I don't think he dislikes them e.g. Paul Heyman, Batista.
