His mic work is very, very good. Genuinely creepy. Has a great look (not traditionally 'great' but still great) and has a tremendous storytelling-style in the ring. He's someone who, as a heel, can tell tickets in bucket-loads. When he's in the arena all eyes are on him. He draws the attention because he plays that character so well. A welcome, welcome change in an era where most guys, lets face it, have about as much attachment to their character as someone wearing a hat unconvincingly. The way he holds focus whenever he's out there in front of 12,000 people or millions on TV is a sign of what this guy could do if given the push.
He'll be a heel that'll be quite easy for a babyface protagonist to bounce off and garner heat from.

Agree completely.
People talk about 'it.' He has IT.
And good point on his look -- you don't have to look like Hogan or Orton (although they also have the look in their own ways) to have the look. He has a look that works for his character, and his attire fits his body style and his character.
Saw him live at a Smackdown taping not too long ago, right after his injury that sidelined him a few weeks. Dude sits in a rocking chair and I'm watching him watching the match.
I also gather that he's scripting his own promos. Can't believe they have a writer who is handing him that on a script. I'm sure they work with him and make suggestions that may enhance it, but it seems to be coming completely from him. Seems like he may have one of those Foley/Kevin Sullivan type of minds that can create a character and then go off into that character's world, which is a rare thing.
Props to WWE for realizing that they have a unique talent and for giving him the green light to run with what he is creating.

In a couple of years, who knows? I wanna see him get seasoned more in longer matches, but character wise (which is 75% of the art of wrestling) he's well on his way.

I like his delivery; the cadence and tone, et al, but his constant leaning on soundbytes that lack much in the way of logic or rhyme to them, as though there only to sound creepy. Sister Abigail one being a notable exception to the above complaint.

The guy's a good speaker and can be good in the ring but... God, the Wyatt Family gimmick completely kills him for me. I loved him as Husky Harris, but the gimmick does not remotely work for me on any conceivable level.

They're throwing things at the wall to make them stick so they can churn out T-shirts. Then again, maybe he's the catalyst trying that. Regardless, he's awesome. I agree that I'd to see him in longer matches and get a real sense of what he can do, but character wise, he may be the strongest in the WWE right now, definitely from a heel perspective is the most entertaining.

Absolutely love the guy. I feel expectations were extremely high for him due to people on here hyping him big time, so when he didn't come right in and have great matches and feuds that he was given the "sucks" label prematurely by some people. It's understandable, but it's apparent they're taking their time with him, and I think it will pay off.

Absolutely. I'd been thinking about who's left who can credibly have one-on-one PPV matches for the new world title once the Authority angle wraps up, and Bray's one of the names I can see stepping up to that level next year.
And I'd say he's second only to Cena as the best mic worker on the roster right now, and by a pretty hefty margin.

He really needs to work on wrestling part of the game. Every match where he was supposed to do more than just the finisher was really poor. In the inferno match with Kane he spent more time pulling up his pants than actually wrestling. I was chuckling the whole time. Every 5 seconds "aaaaaand he pulls them up again"... "and again"... ![](http://www.abload.de/img/tumblr_lfkaosenpv1qzc0t1tc.gif)

If I'd just woken up from a coma I'd fallen into in 2008, I'd be convinced Miz was either: A) holding a replica belt B) stolen it for the sake of a 5-minute RAW angle Now, back on topic.

When the Wyatts inevitably go for Cena, they MUST win against him. It worked for The Shield and it would work for them. Losing to Cena a lot seems to be what killed a lot of people's heat.

The character reminds me of "Trust Me" Jake Roberts. It's a very good character, but something is just missing. I like watching his promos but hate sitting through his matches.

I'd be more shocked if the Wyatts didn't win. Between him taking losses (clean or otherwise) to Punk, The Shield, Bryan, Sheamus and just about everybody WWE had a serious investment in at the time, he's pretty much turning into the company's Worf.

Yeah I often get the feeling WWE are making him insert various lines but it's not an inherently bad thing, wrestlers need hooks/catchphrases and character wise they work as a repeated mantra. I guess they just need to tweak it slightly so they don't sound shoehorned in. Plus as a cult leader his words generally have to be vague and somewhat empty so his followers can fill in the gaps from their own experiences, hopes and fears.

I'm not buying what this dude or the other two goofs are selling at all. His promos which are supposedly his strong point aren't that good to me either, I get that as a wacky cult leader he's supposed to be saying vague things to trick people into buying into him and his beliefs but at some point you have to tie it together with whatever angle you are involved with to tell a coherent story. Jake, Raven, and Foley all did this, I haven't heard it from Wyatt yet. Any chump can think of cool things to say if they don't have to make sense in any real context. His ring work is pretty weak and he looks like he just stepped off of the Love Boat with those goofy white pants. Come to think of it Bray Wyatt: survivor of the Love Boat sinking would be a better gimmick than this tripe. Not a fan at all.

I like the character. I loved him NXT, but on the main roster I've been kind of disappointed. I love the gimmick, I prefer it to the generic, normal guy thing they've had going on. But for some reason, I just can't get into the Wyatt Family on Raw. I wish they'd devote more time to an actual story because I feel that's where Bray's strengths lie. Not just being creepy, yknow.

If your career can't survive losing to the top babyface, maybe you aren't all that great in the first place. The careers of The Miz, Alberto Del Rio and R-Truth are just fine, but they've all fallen way down the card since getting their ass kicked by Cena. My point is that when people go over Cena, it helps them more than it helps Cena if he wins. The Shield, Punk and Bryan all have a ton of heat still and I'm almost certain it wouldn't be the same if Cena had went over them in their big ppv matches. It's about perception.
