I was just looking at the TNA roster page on Wikipedia and I saw this guy listed as unassigned under the name Ultimate Tiger. I thought there would be a thread on it here, but after checking the first three pages of TNA threads I saw nothing. Anyway, apparently he just got signed earlier this month after losing a match to Zema Ion on Xplosion. Here is an article about the signing: www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2013/1205/568020/mexican-lucha-libre-star-signs-with-tna/As mentioned in my thread about TNA's roster I kind of cringe at the idea of TNA expanding their already too big roster. However, this guy seems like a good hire and may appeal to a demographic outside of TNA's core base of fans. Debuting him with a loss against Ion doesn't seem like a great move, but then again Xplosion doesn't really count. Also, I was looking up clips of him and found this:

This would had been true a year ago, but current TNA is basically a skeleton crew. Any new signings is a good thing.

It may not be an actual signing, they have a working talent exchange with AAA. A few years ago they sent Hernandez to Mexico and were promised a talent later.

I thought Jack Evans was the talent they got from AAA? He worked a couple of shows leading to Destination X. TNA wanted to sign him to a contract but couldn't match what he was paid in AAA so he stayed in Mexico.

AAA (sees Hernandez walk in): "I thought that this was supposed to be a talent exchange!?" Didn't Konnan push for Hernandez to join LAX in the first place? Konnan's original idea was Shocker, Apollo, and Homicide (who he pushed to get signed). Shocker left TNA, and Apollo f***ed it up for himself (according to Konnan so that's saying something) so they used Machete for a little bit until they could figure out who they wanted and because Hernandez had done business with TNA before they went with him. But there was a time when he was pretty highly thought of... even here. Jack Evans was more he was getting bookings both in Mexico and Japan so he couldn't commit to being a regular. Low Ki didn't sign because he was getting more money in Japan. A few years ago, TNA did have El Zorro signed but Terry Taylor messed something up (one of the reasons he ended up getting fired).

He did after original LAX member Apolo got shitcanned by TNA. TNA thought sending him down to Mexico, Hernandez was going to be the next big Latino star. It never happened.

Ah, good, they found their new Mexican to partner with Hernandez. I was worried for a second.
