The thing,as most of you have already mentioned, is that most animation for adults in America aims at toilet humor, while animation for kids actually tackles a wider variety of issues. I see this beginning to change with the introduction of the DC animated movies(like Batman: Under the Red Hood). Soon America will catch up with Japan.

Archer is one of my favourite shows at this time, so not completely Came here for this. Archer, I've seen described, as the "thinking man's dick and fart show", which is oddly apt. The fact that every historic reference they've made is a real one, the foreign language bits are all accurately translated (and funny), and the animation and voice work is excellent, I have no complaints. I'm debating whether or not I should try a "green Russian" on New Year's Eve. I'm intrigued, but frightened.

It's the mix of absinthe's flavour (like being beaten over the head with a pound of Licorice allsorts) and the Creme de Menthe I'd worry about.

I'm partially disappointed at the apparent decline in "adult" cartoons. One of my "boyhood dreams" was actually to create a "dick and fart joke" animated series. I went to college and majored in digital art for this explicit purpose .

I always figured it was just me getting old and not being with it anymore, but over the last decade I've noticed that most "adult cartoons" are little more then a weird mix of surreal randomness and vulgarity. I wouldn't even call that adult as it seems more like something to appeal to a junior high aged mentality that believes just saying the word "dildo" is hilarious.

Speaking of Adult Swim, I wonder if anyone's watching Rick and Morty?

I like American Dad and thats it. Family Guy and The Simpsons have run their course and it's time to pull the plug on them. South Park is getting close to the end.
