It's weird to read about Daniel Bryan's "breakout year" (which it legitimately was), in contrast with how the majority of this board seems to view his year.

If one was dead set on him becoming a run-of-the-mill fighting champ, then no, he didn't have a break out year by that standard, but in almost any other sense he definitely did IMO. I can't guarantee he'll be pushed any harder than he is now, but they've certainly done right by him in that they've built him up to where he can carry the ball if ever asked to. |
