No, I didn't like him at all. Then again I haven't really liked any heel GM since Vickie's first run with Edge, and even then, the concept was already getting a little tired by that point. It's beyond played out these days. The ideal GM for me would be either face/tweener aligned (since they're less likely to be directly involved in storylines), or a rarely used Jack Tunney-esque figure.

I liked him. One of the things everyone praises about McMahon is that anyone can relate to a person who hates their jerk boss. But most bosses aren't cackling megalomaniacs. They're middle management kiss asses who are, at most, vaguely scheming about screwing over particular employees they don't like while trying to suck up to management. That's Big Johnny all the way. Or at least it was until he went off the rails.

Yes, because he played the role as a misguided goofball, which was far more entertaining than the current roles Stephanie and HHH play.
