Riker. Especially the beardless phase. I am a bit surprised, most of the time people tend to think of first season Riker as basically just Kirk.

Chief O'Brien.
Stuck in the transporter room for years. No surprise that when he got the chance to transfer to DS9 he thought "screw this boring minimum wage transporter job....I'm going to hang out with Sisko!"
In fact, in an episode of DS9 he told Worf directly that he would wait around for hours in the transporter room bored out of his mind hoping that something interesting would happen.

Chief O'Brien. Stuck in the transporter room for years. No surprise that when he got the chance to transfer to DS9 he thought "screw this boring minimum wage transporter job....I'm going to hang out with Sisko!" In fact, in an episode of DS9 he told Worf directly that he would wait around for hours in the transporter room bored out of his mind hoping that something interesting would happen. I always liked O'brien. It was nice to see that not everyone in Star Fleet is either a stuck-up officer-and-gentleman type or an aloof academic. It's weird how he ended up being BBFs with the most stuck-up officer-and-gentleman aloof academic type on DS9 though.
