Don't you just love these types of threads? Seriously, though, I haven't watched any wrestling at all since probably this summer. I have to do that every once in a while or else I just get super bored, no matter how good the on-screen product is. Anyway, I was just wondering what I had missed in these past few months. I've kept up on the big and rather shocking stories like JJ and AJ leaving, which sucks, but I'm just wondering where the on-screen product is right now. Is it decent or is it really bad? Also, they're back in Orlando, right? Is it the same building or a new one? If it's new, does it look better than the Impact Zone? Thanks, guys.

You'll get some people praising it but the product is currently in that awkward transition phase that WCW was going through at the end where they were bringing in as many young wrestlers as possible to see what would work.
Thing is instead of looking like it's picking up like WCW was before it got canned, the average Impact is pretty brutally boring.
EDIT: Tonights impact ended with a segment with Magnus, Dixie Carter, Gunner, Rockstar Spud & AJ Styles. It was as boring as you'd imagine.

Thanks, guys. - Not the same Impact Zone, slightly smaller, but no real difference on screen. - X-Division is dead in the water, aside from Sabin & Aries trading the title. - Tag Division is headlined by the Bromans as champs (which is not as bad as you'd first guess, they're solid, if unspectacular workers), but right now, it's also dead in the water. - KO division is not in a great shape either, since there's four or five girls left ; right now, it's Madison Rayne (face) vs Gail Kim (champ). - Right now, TNA is focused on the Heavyweight/upper card scene, and is in rebuilding mode since the end of the Aces n Eights ; They're bringing in new guys w/ gimmicks, they're pushing Magnus as the (heel) face of the company, and while Jarrett was back in semi-power backstage, they brought back a bunch of gimmicked matches from the old days ; also, storylines are moving faster. Depending on your preferences, it translates into a flawed but interesting product (if you like most of the new guys, and can bear with some problems here and there) or an unbearable chore (if you hate Magnus, Spud & a Heel Dixie deliberately playing up the dumb oblivious owner gimmick with uneven results). TBH, as far as i'm concerned, TNA goes from average to decent-good, these days, depending on the week & the matches. I'm never bored, though, (except this week, towards the end of that Champion Coronation), which is more than I can say about the competition's main weekly show.

Yeah my basic understanding is that while a lot of moves made were budget cuts, in some cases it was TNA saying "f*** it, let's just start over" and a lot things right now are in a holding pattern until TNA sorts things out backstage and with contracts.

All you really need to know is that Gunner won shot at the heavyweight title via Feast Or Fired, and he's tried to cash it in MITB style a couple of times, and it just kind of doesn't happen. Not like "oh slippery Magnus got out of dodge!" or anything, it just kind of doesn't happen.
