Takeshi Morishima became GHC Heavyweight Champion for the third time today at Korakuen Hall, defeating KENTA, who had held the title for 343 days, having defeated Morishima to win the title. According to PuroLove, 2,000 fans were in attendance.

Ugh, I'm sick of the same two guys passing the belt back and forth, how are you supposed to make new stars like that?  |

Not the first time something like this has happened with NOAH. Takashi Sugiura won it off Go Shiozaki, held it for over 500 days, and then lost it right back to Shiozaki. This is also the third straight GHC Title change to happen in January - Morishima won it off Shiozaki in January 2012, KENTA off Morishima in January 2013, and now Morishima off KENTA in January 2014.

Ugh, I'm sick of the same two guys passing the belt back and forth, how are you supposed to make new stars like that? NOAH doesn't have that many young guys to elevate. They got to recruit from the outside to bring in fresh blood. I do have to question Morishima turning heel and starting yet another stable in the company. |
