Bane Quotes > "Kiss by a Rose" > Bane Voice. His quotes (and Hardy's acting altogether) were amazing, but that voice takes some getting used to. "Kiss by a Rose" I loved the first time I heard it.

The Bane voice. For the most part, TDKR version of Bane is superior to all others. His last 15 minutes are admittedly iffy, though.
Besides, if you're gong to rip off the best, you might as well rip off Sean Connery.

No one laughed at "Kiss From A Rose" because they were too busy laughing at everything else about Batman Forever. If you ignore all the neon trappings and Bat-nipples, it's probably the best written Batman adaptation as far as live-action films go. Damn shame Two-Face was a joke. There were no Bat-nipples in Forever. That was added for and Robin. Also I still maintain Batman Forever was a good movie. I will concede that The Two Face they wrote was pretty stupid though.

Forever was as bad as & Robin. Every terrible trait was present in both.

Batman Forever is a better film than Batman and Robin
I like the way BF portrayed Robin. Thought Chris O'Donnell did a great job with it.
With Batman and Robin, WB basically went full-on camp and it was a disaster.

Batman Forever is a better film than Batman and Robin I like the way BF portrayed Robin. Thought Chris O'Donnell did a great job with it. With Batman and Robin, WB basically went full-on camp and it was a disaster. I thought having Two-Face and Riddler together just didn't work. Of course, by having Jim Carrey attached to the role, you're going to run the risk of maintaining that energy with anyone he's teamed with, which is exactly what happened. While I've always considered Two-Face violent and unpredictable, he's always struck me as cold and calm at the same time. So here, you have a crazy Two-Face that does whatever for some reason, and once he teams with Riddler, he basically becomes a sidekick to zaniness. Perhaps using some other villain to attach to either would have worked. Instead, it was incredibly cheesy. It still had it's moments. I enjoyed Robin's introduction for the most part and he felt like a real character. Chase wasn't a terrible character, and while it was pretty damn over the top, I can't help but enjoy Carrey going full megalomaniac with his Riddler, since the story somewhat called for it. It's still not better than any of the Nolan movies (only slightly worse than Rises TBH), or the Burton movies, but it's better than the bat nips.

I will say that the novelisation of Batman Forever was fairly good and would have helped solve some of the story problems in the movie.

Riddler worked, and Two Face, while over acted, I only actually had a problem with him when he wouldnt play by the coin toss rule because that defeats the point of the character. I also liked Kilmer as Bruce and Bats, Kidman was a fine Bat Chick and even their version of Robin, while being a produce of the times, could have been worse. It's not the joke that Batman and Robin was anyway

I think if you removed everything Two-Face related from BF, it'd flow a lot better. It's Riddler's quest to humiliate Bruce Wayne (and Batman by extension, eventually) that drives most of the plot, and whatever Two-Face contributes could have been done by a random thug or mobster.
That, and it's one of Tommy Lee Jones's rare bad performances. Carrey's Riddler was pretty campy, but he still got an underlying creepiness out of the character. Maybe it was the more kid-friendly direction Warner Bros. settled on, but TLJ probably had a great Two-Face in him somewhere and he refused to let it loose.

The Schumacher movies had the best looking Gotham City. Always loved that production design. Gotham looked massive. In the Nolan movies, Gotham looks like Wolverhampton. He should have kept the Burton Batmobile though. The Schumacher Batmobiles were too bright and colourful. I liked Robin's motorbike though.

"What do you suggest Alfred....by sea....or by air?"
"How 'bout both?"
I love that Batwing sequence when it flies through the caves.

Bane voice.
Kiss from a rose was a prominent song for many a year and did a lot for Seal. However, there's one thing it doesn't that Bane voice does: it's not funny.(unless you're isolating the vaguely pedo lyrics, of course)

This is my favorite song from the soundtrack that isn't orchestral.
Also, there is no way TDKR has the best Bane when Secret Six Bane is lurking out there.
