Shit was rigged.

They had to have their dancing segment. Arn wouldn't dance. Backlund might dance but lose his mind mid finger point and start chickenwinging fools. Former(?) Stooge Sgt. Slaghter was the right choice so Maggle and JBL could freak out and laugh like hyenas about "TWERKING!"

I'm actually surprised Arn Anderson got many votes. Bob Backlund and Sgt. slaughter have had more memorable appearances lately then Arn.

I voted Backlund. Looking at Twitter I excpected Double A to win.


But I suppose Sarge is logical as he's known as the guy who used to come out and separate Brawls so the jump to referee is logical.


Plus Sarge was an active part of WWE tv in the Attitude era so is probably more recognisable to the Apps userbase.

Sgt. Slaughter is awesome. He's also been on TV a lot more than the other two over the past 10 years. If I'm voting for a no-nonsense referee, then I'd want somebody who once killed a mutant-alien menace with his bare hands.

I'm not surprised. He wouldn't have been my pick (a spinebuster was the best thing we could've hoped for) but he's easily the most famous of that trio. Long career, main evented a Wrestlemania, was a player in both boom periods.
