Let's look at the facts:
Alabama Slam and Rope hanging kick from Holly Falling down uppercut from his brother Getting pinned from Drew McIntire Now the rebound clothesline from Ted Jr.
Who is next to be plundered by the youngest Rhodes?

He now has the Triple H/Harley Race High Knee too.
He's the Mega Man of the WWE. He's a throwback.

I think the thread is more about the fact that he adopts moves from his family/former tag partners once they're gone from the company, because if we're honest almost everybody's moveset is stolen from someone else.

1. I don't think Goldust invented the uppercut either. 2. Yeah but he never teamed with Reno or Test

I've always liked that Cody uses a couple of Bob Holly's signature moves as an homage to his former partner and how Cody uses the falling Goldust strike.

He'll steal the armbar from Jericho next.

I agree; I usually mark out, because I'm a fan of the Alabama Slam and I actually liked the "earning respect" storyline back then between Cody and Holly.

I hope he eventually starts using one of Sandow's moves (even if Sandow sticks around).

That school boy rollup he does at the turnbuckle (when he turns his legs around in midair to land on his opponent and roll him up) he got from Booker T after their feud. I love how his moveset is made of his past, it's a great moveset and it's little mark out moments each and every match.

I read this as "movie thief." I think that's a better gimmick.
He can bring a laptop down to the ring and periodically get distracted by checking the progress of his downloads.

I love that Cody adopts the moves of people who have a history with him. It's awesome and a nice bit of continuity. Makes his moveset all the more interesting that so many of them have a bit of a story behind them.

All of these are moves he stole from people relevant to him, though.
How about when he just randomly stole the Disaster Kick from John Morrison? While Morrison was still there, no less!

I think the Beautiful Disaster and the CrossRhodes were more or less moves he decided to use before "hey, why don't I borrow from people I've worked with before". That and there always has to be an exception to make it a rule.

Cody treats it like a video game weapon enhancement. It's pretty cool.

I forgot about the Booker roll up.
And you're right. He should steal a move from Sandow. Though he could be taking the pin from Damien and something else from Drew.

When Morrison was around, I never liked Cody's springboard kick. I thought it was awkward and clunky looking and that Morrison did it better. Now that he's gone, Cody's version grew on me.
