So I've got Dragon Age 2 here on my backlog of 360 games. I never got a chance to get the "awakening" DLC which i've heard affects the plot of 2 if you import your save from the first game.
£20 seems like a lot for DLC. Is it essential to play it? is it any good? or can I go ahead and skip it.

it does affect the plot a little bit, but the main reason to play it is it introduces Anders, whose a playable character in Dragon Age 2, and a couple other characters get a mention. it's pretty much a standalone game (albeit about 10-15 hours or so) so it's worth it for 20$, especilly if you liked Origins and wanted to do more stuff with Oghren.
