Wow... that sounds absolutely horrible. I'm not sure that I've ever read any of his work personally but every synopsis I've ever seen of it all looks like it's pretty much the same...

I actually got that Ultimate Red Skull story for Christmas last year ... I like Hawkeye in it, but yeah it's rather brutal.

Do tell...I am not familiar with the Ultimates. It's possibly unfair, but to me the Ultimate Universe represents everything that is wrong with comic books because of stuff like this. I have been disgusted with it since Ultimates II. It's like if the late 80s and 90s got their own little dark, depressing, soulless universe.

It is good, but Superior Spider-man Team Up and Superior Foes of Spider-man are both tons better. Foes is one of the best books on stands right now.

I have a feeling we may get Peter back, but keep Otto as Superior. There is talks of Miles (who I love to death, Ultimate Spidey with him has been great) coming over to the 616. We already have Spidey 2099 in the here and now, and Kaine/Scarlet Spider. Then we have Spiderhero over in Mighty Avengers. In Superior we have the Goblin Kingdom going on. So I can see a Council of spiders coming together and co-led by Pete/Otto.
But I do want Superior/Otto to stay around. It isn't a dumb idea, stuff like this has happened in comics since they started, it is an old ass science fiction trope. It isn't a dumb idea, or dumb execution. And even if Slott left, it doesn't mean things change anyway.
