As for me, here's a gem that never makes the rounds but really should. Vampire Assassin. This movie is a laugh riot from start to finish. It is the kind of bad movie you're always hoping to find among all the direct-to-video dreck at your local movie rental. It's probably all but disappeared from most of them by now but I bought a copy because it's so damn funny. The full movie ain't on YouTube but I wish I could put it up there. Here's a clip but I assure that this is just the tip of the iceberg. No context. The saddest part in my opinion is that Mel Noak (who plays the villain) is a FANTASTIC actor AND a talented martial artist who can pull off his own stunts (he was in Game of Death, for crying out loud!!)... and yet he always ends up playing second fiddle for less talented, less charismatic people in absolute trash like this film. And you know why that is? Because taking on lead roles or at least roles in better films would take too much time from his work as a priest in a charity that helps reform convicts and he ONLY acts to raise money for the charity in question. He's really an amazing man (he even took a bit of time to answer an interview from a French website dedicated to so-bad-it's-good movies and seemed to be perfectly aware of the quality of the films he appears in but he had a sense of humour about it). But just once, I'd like to see him in a role that deserves him because he is usually a ray of light in otherwise horrible, horrible movies.

We're Back- A Dinosaur's Story: The plot and story progression is beyond stupid, but the cast is generally likable and the animation's great.
Velvet Goldmine: It's a half assed Citizen Kane ripoff and none of the characters are well defined. The songs and art direction cancel all that out.
The Room: Everyone else has explained it better.
Can't Stop The Music: a "biography" of the Village People. It needs to be seen to be believed.
Independence Day: Welcome to Earf.

Street Fighter. Everyone looks like they're having fun, no matter how over the top the film is. And everyone talks about Troll 2, but has anyone seen the first Troll film? About the same level of Badness the "sequel" has.

It truly is a remarkable piece of unintentional humour. Every minute, every second, every FRAME carries its lot of inexplicable oddity. The fact that it does look like it had a fair budget (obviously not very big, but it's not like it's a no-budget flick made with bits of strings) only makes all the more surreal. It should tell you how much insanity there is that despite the many, many clips and reviews out there, the film still had TONS of surprises when I eventually saw it myself. It really has to be seen to be believed, preferably with friends as it is an experience that must be shared. "YOU CAN'T PISS ON HOSPITALITY! I WON'T ALLOW IT!!" Every time I see it, I notice or realize something completely nonsensical that I missed the last time. Some of the behind-the-scenes stories are equally if not more amazing, like the infamous café guy who gives one of the characters some milk. He was noted for his crazy look. They actually found the guy for the documentary they made on the film... where he revealed he wasn't acting, he really was literally crazy back then: he was a patient in a mental hospital for schizophrenia and one day he was on a day pass, the makers of the film basically told him "hey? Wanna make a quick buck? Come act in our movie!". Oh and he was also high as f***. To quote Don Packard himself : "That's not me acting... I was really that crazy".

This is my specialty. So I'll provide a few examples (including video!)
Road to Revenge AKA Geteven (one word)- Lawyer tries to be an action star. Sings own soundtrack. Fun times for all.
Samurai Cop - Perhaps the greatest action film of all time. Scenes like this is why.
Miami Connection - Fun movie about a kung fu fighting rock band called Dragon Force.
This is just off the top of my head.

Pieces. perhaps the most insanely over-the-top gorey slasher movie in my collection. everything looks cheap, the acting is terrible, and things happen for no rhyme or reason (notably, a chinese guy comes out of nowhere and attacks the female lead and says it's because he ate "bad chop suey). the movie pretends it's a mystery about who the killer is and throws tonnes of red herrings at the viewer when it's plain as day who the killer is. it's like if Vince Russo wrote it or something. the leading man is the most unconvincing "ladies man" I've ever seen in any movie (seriously, Tommy Wiseau is more charming/convincing). and it's absolutely one of my favorite movies. Also, there is some hard pickle in the movie!

Batman 1966 Amazing levels of camp and comedy. I would NEVER confuse it with an actual quality production, but my god it's super entertaining. Although with it being made that way on purpose does it get disqualified? I think that disqualifies it, yes. The 60's Batman series is deliberately campy and obviously tongue-in-cheek. The hammy acting was encouraged and there's an infectious feeling of fun when watching and screw anyone who thinks that's a bad thing. Batman: TAS was great but it's not the final word on Batman. It's ultimately all about a man who dresses up as a bat at night to thwart the plans of clowns and fat monocle men. There's the fact that the comics WERE like that at the time. Hell, if anything silver age comics were even more over the top and cheesy.

It was actually a decent adaptation of the comic at the time, all things considered. It was wise to produce it as a campy, tongue-in-cheek show for kids and the energy and fun of it resonates to this day in my opinion. And it's important to note that it was for kids though it was accessible to adults. It would deserve its reputation if it took itself seriously - or at least too seriously.

I knew he was in Game of Death though. Vampire Assassin also features Gerald Okamura and Rudy Ray Moore while we're at it. Also reminds me. There's a scene in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter that was done in Vampire Assassin first: the "turn off the lights, beat protagonist up" bit. I wouldn't be surprised if that gag predates both though.

Also, there is some hard pickle in the movie! Also, the lead is the "It Stinks" guy from Pod People. which makes the ending of Pieces all the more cathartic for people who had to sit through Pod People.

Is it cheating to say anything that has the benefit of MST3K/etc. riffing?
Has anyone seen the horror movie "The Fields"? Horrid movie, but Cloris Leachman carries the whole thing.
I used to LOVE the Rock 'n' Roll High School sequel. Yes the one with Corey Feldman.
Body Slam.
Casino Royale '67, just for the music.
Santa's Slay.

For me this begins and ends with "That's My Boy" So much stupidity, and it seems that Sandler and company were aware of that. But how they dished it out was hilarious with cameos of Vanilla Ice, Tony Orlando and Todd Bridges, also THAT ENDING

Can't Stop The Music: a "biography" of the Village People. It needs to be seen to be believed. This was the first movie I thought of when I opened this thread. Electric Dreams - a guy tries to woo his beautiful neighbor with the help of his home computer. The story and acting and special effects are terrible. The soundtrack by Georgio Moroder and ELO is great.

Can't Stop The Music: a "biography" of the Village People. It needs to be seen to be believed. Agreed! So much spandex... so much leather... so wrong but so entertaining. The DVD I have of "Can't Stop the Music" has a little documentary about the 1979 "Disco Demolition Night"... great stuff! Miami Connection - Fun movie about a kung fu fighting rock band called Dragon Force. Again, agreed! Perfect movie for a friendly get-together, we laughed from beginning to end. I was going to add "The FP", but that's a great movie brilliantly disguised as a terrible movie, so I don't think it counts. "The Stuff" was a great concept that is completely off-the-wall, with Michael "Law & Order" Moriarty off his medication through the whole movie. "Barbarella" is a terrible amount of fun as well.

I mention this in most threads to this effect, but Eragon is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in theaters. It is just so cliche and incompetent, and it makes me laugh every time.
And while not a bad movie, just a bit of a cheesy one, I laughed hysterically during parts of Hunger Games. Without spoiling anything, it when things would happen with the lead girl, one of the lead guys, and it'd just cut to the other lead man watching uncomfortably. It was just so cruel and petty, it made me laugh uproariously.
