Perhaps you are having the same issue I had with Breaking Bad, namely that everyone has told you it's just so amazing that when actually watching it, it just can't match the hype that it's been given?

I refuse to watch the Nolan Batman movies on those grounds. That and I refuse to believe anyone is a better Joker then Jack Nicholson. No sir I don't buy it.

I find it very boring and think there's only been one or two weiners lol. I want to like it cause this mythos is right up my alley I'm Tolkien DND freak to my core. Its slowly getting better but I do t find a single character outside of Sean beans stark likable and its quite boring.

Granted I was already a fan and had read all the books several times, but I never found anything other than the Dany story boring. Still, to each his own.

Nicholson was just playing Nicholson with paint. Hamill was the best though.

Hey man I'm trying really hard here, I find it boring perhaps because its predictable for me being a huge fan of the genre and have seen and read many stories similar. Some of our DND quests are more intriguing. But I'm gonna keep watching and hopefully it gets better to me.

Hamill was the best though. i don't know. i mean, sure Ledger had the awesome scheme to get Lau out of prison while capturing Dent and Rachel, but Nicholson vandalized a museum while dancing to Prince. that's super-duper hardcore right there

I don't like Game of Thrones, but it's certainly not for me. I'm sure the story's really well written and all, I just can't get past how it looks/sounds/feels. Dark fantasy stuff about kings and shit (that's how I see it lol) does not appeal to me in the least, I can't relate one bit.
But, if that stuff does appeal to you, and you don't like it yet, I'd say stick with it becuase I've heard from a friend that it got a lot better as it went on, to the point where he went from not liking it to it becoming his favorite TV show.

But as of episode 6 I still don't. What's wrong with me? It's the same with the first book as it's all about setting the plot up and introducing the characters. Then, Ned loses his head, and it picks up from there.

The books are way better than the series, IMO.

Like most people, you'll find that the longer you go, the better it gets. Season 1 was ok. Season 2 was better than Season 1. Season 3 was better than Season 2. Speculation, therefore, is that Season 4 is better than Season 3.
Season 1 is mainly for building background and laying framework for where the story really kicks off.

I think I made it 25 minutes into the first episodes before the incest parts made me turn it off in disgust.

I think I made it 25 minutes into the first episodes before the incest parts made me turn it off in disgust. Considering that happens at the end of the episode, you must be either Sherlock or Jean Grey. EXPLAIN YOUR WITCHCRAFT! Also that happens roughly once.
