Because i'm pissed beyond belief right now. I rarely go on Ebay because the stuff i want normally eludes me right out of the gate. But every now and then you stumble on to a deal too unique to not bid on it. I see this: for those of you that don't know that's a G1 Optimus Prime, Armada Prime, RID Prime and Ultramagnus, and a Power Masters Prime all in one f***ing lot. AND COMPLETE. the guy opens the bid at 20 bucks. this auction lasted for 2 days so I watched like a hawk and saw no other watchers or bidders. i'm not that naive to think no one sees it, but i'm prepared to fight. I had to go to work so the only way to keep up with this was on my phone. i knew that could be a problem with how it could delay the bid button. and like clockwork some fool up the bids by .50 during the last minute. he and i go back and forth then my phone stalls and i miss a the bid at the last second. he got all five for $30.50!!!!!!! i'm not mad that I lost. i'm just mad at what i lost and a lot like that will never happen again. and before you say it, yes i should have went balls to the wall but if i still was beat by .50 i still would be pissed.

Yeah, I've lost auctions before trying to be cheap.
Sometimes, as you yourself say, you gotta just pump in the cash at the last minute, especially if doing it on your phone!

I could go on about problems with Ebay....here's a few things I highly hate; Shilling; A bunch of sellers will bid up their own crap to get more money for it. Ebay turns a blind eye towards it, since most of the time they fail to regulate IP addresses, when they easily could check any suspicious behavior, instead of leaving it up to buyers to check. One way to avoid this is to ALWAYS bid something weird such as $20.73, since most auctions go up by 50 cents, a seller can get the absolute maximum someone bids on something. So say, an auction starts at a dollar, and my maximum bid is $5. The seller can keep bidding up, until he ties what my maximum is, and all the sudden, there aren't any more bids. This happened to me back about 11 years ago and I was too foolish to believe I was in a bidding war with the seller. So an item that I was going to pay around $150 for, ended up being around $600 because I refused to lose. Never again. I've learned to always bid at the last second, and to always bid something up $5 higher than I'm willing to pay, more times than not it'll never hit that, or if it does, it'll go over that limit. Reserve prices; Hey, if you want to get something for THAT price, how about you start that auction at that price, you stupid jackass. I refuse to bid on any auctions that have reserves, no matter how good the item might be. High prices; I know that a lot of sellers get f***ed over by Ebay's outrageous fees, but that doesn't help the fact they've helped create an inflation system for items that would normally not be so expensive. For example, seller A lists an item on Ebay. Seller B comes along and does a search for the same item he's also selling and sees Seller A's item and what seller A is asking for it. Now seller B notices that HIS item is in slightly better condition, so he lists it for a little higher. Seller A's item sells, but then seller C comes along and sees seller B's item and lists his for the same price, despite not being in good condition. Seller B's item eventually sells. Seller D comes along and puts his item on Ebay for a higher price because it's in better condition than seller C's. And the trend continues over and over. Sniping: Something I always have to contest with since a lot of auctions will have no activity at all, and then all the sudden jump to 20 bids in the last 30 seconds. I guess this is a healthy way to deal with the shill sellers, as they would be stupid to bid something up at the last second. I usually bid only with about 20 seconds left, however that raises the worst problem of all... FORGETTING ABOUT AN AUCTION!!; I can't tell you how many times I've missed an auction because I didn't make a reminder of it or got distracted with something else. Since I only bid at the last second, this has caused so many problems, it frustrates me to no end. This happened no further ago, than last Sunday. I was watching an NES game, a game that ended up selling for a major bargain ended, while I was distracted with posting on here (of all things!). I was pissed at myself for the rest of the night...it's going to be at least a year before I see that game in THAT good of condition on Ebay again, and knowing my luck, it'll go for twice the price as before. We should have a yard sale thread were we can buy sell and trade items with each other I'd love a B/S/T forum on here. I think we get a ton of traffic, so it could always entice others to join our forum, plus with the variety of people we have already, we should have a large amount of interest.

We should have a yard sale thread were we can buy sell and trade items with each other not a bad idea. If it were its own thread with moderators it would work wonderfully. Seems to be civil on Facebook groups of the same nature-

Oh, here's something else that pisses me off.
"I don't ship to PO Box addresses."
Well, that's nice that you don't, however that is the ONLY way I get mail. Sure, I could give you my specific mailing address, however it's still going to arrive at my post office because they don't directly deliver around here. Also, my post office gets annoyed at me for having my personal address on there and stamps my mail with a notice when I do. Also, there's a higher chance of it failing to get to me when you don't ship it to my PO Box, so for your sake and mine...just f***in' send it.

I feel like if I'm patient I can get what I need from eBay. It took about a month but I was eventually able to get this for a price I felt was fair. I'm not sure what the moral of this post is. SAAAAVE THE EARTH! SAAAAVE THE EARTH! THERE'S A SOLUTION STOOOOP POLLUTION SAAAVE THE EARTH!
