After about three years of watching rifftrax compilations, various clips, and the Nostalgia Critic review I finally decided to actually watch this film. Have to say that I'm disappointed, I know it's been built up as this hilariously awful film and some part are like that but overall I thought it was boring, may have ruined it by seeing the best clips online in the past but the end result didn't seem worth it.

If you're a reader, I'd suggest reading Greg Sestero's 'The Disaster Artist' (He played Mark in the movie). The book points out a ton of stuff I didn't notice the first time around and it definitely puts the entire movie in a different perspective.

It sounds like you watched the entire movie already in parts before the whole thing. That will influence your perception. I found it to be amazing the first time I watched it. For the humor, of course--and the fact that the movie was clearly a labor of love--and ego.

Did you watch it alone? I saw it with friends and it was amazingly hilarious. It just takes one in the crowd to go "What the hell?" and then everyone starts riffing on the movie.

You have to see it in a theatre. It's an amazing experience.

You have to see it in a theatre. It's an amazing experience. Agreed. The movie becomes x10000000 better if you go to a screening. Also, Zaq, if you're a drinker, do so before watching the movie again. It helps. A lot.

I'm so happy E town screens the room the first Friday of every month since 2012 or 2011

I agree.
All the net reviewers spoofing it give you the impression it's a laugh a minute trainwreck and it isn't.
It is hilarious, but it plods hard at times.

I've never seen the full film. Only the Nostalgia Critic review.

may have ruined it by seeing the best clips online in the past but the end result didn't seem worth it. That's pretty much that. All the best clips, and in fact almost the entire movie, have been used in various reviews and/or available on YouTube so when you actually see it, there's no surprise.

the best clips ARE pretty much run into the ground, but I keep finding something new and hilarious I hadn't noticed the last time.

You have to see it in a theatre. It's an amazing experience. I would, but it's an awkward situation.
