Name some of your favorite moments where a character steps out of his stereotypical role and delivers some truth to the other characters.

Bonus points for the speech being just as much directed at himself.

Jon Stewart's 2004 appearance on CNN's "Crossfire" that got the show cancelled for a decade.

Cheryl's "inner monologue" about why Lana would never leave ISIS permanently from Archer. I love Lana, but this was Cheryl's best moment ever in the show. Jon Stewart's 2004 appearance on CNN's "Crossfire" that got the show cancelled for a decade. This and Colbert's 2006 White House Correspondants Dinner speech If TV Tropes did an awards show, these would have won the gold and silver awards for Best Reason You Suck Speech respectively.

Quagmire's pipebomb on Brian I knew this would show up in the thread, and I know opinions are subjective, but....nope. Quagmire's entire speech is nullified by his own hypcocrisy

Not a speech per se, but Steve telling Jane "This is NOT, I repeat, NOT an American Sitcom!" on BBC Coupling. This was one reason why the non-Jeff season was not a washout.

I love the show Extras mentioned above.
I thought Louis CK on Louie gave a scathing critique about how the studios (and people in entertainment business) operate. He did a storyline arc where he is vying for a job hosting a light night talk show. Louis CK shows how supposed friends backstab you. Executive lie to you. And it's all a power play to get leverage in contract negotiations. Maybe this wasn't a 'pipebomb' as in there may not have been that big speech that packed a punch. I recommend this show.
