Not at launch, but I did expect most things that were added to stay there. I expected them to basically slowly but surely put the library up and leave it up over time and never/rarely take anything down.
Its different from Netflix because WWE owns all their own content, while Netflix has to deal with licensees. Far as I can tell Netflix only takes things down when they have to. Someone in another thread pointed out that HBO owns all their own content and still rotates things on their similar service, but I feel like thats different because there's much less content available and you're much more likely to watch every single HBO original series eventually then you are to actually blow through the entire WWE tape library (which I imagine would be nigh impossible to do in a lifetime at this point). So its different from HBOGo too. Why did you expect that. WWE never set that expectation. Personally it was them going out of their way to lay down a Benoit policy that did it for me. I took it to mean that Benoit had a good chance of being shown on the Network in Nitro archives and the like.

Anyone who expected WWE to upload their entire 100,000 hours+ of content is a crazy person. Again, obviously I didn't expect that. I didnt expect the entire library to be up at once ever. I did sort of expect that anything they did put up would stay there. I guess I didn't really think about the reality of that expectation, but I thought stuff like every episode of RAW and Smackdown or every episode of Nitro would be possible. :/ I'm a little disappointed now that I realize that expectation was a little bit high. ETA: Possible EVENTUALLY, not immediately available. I think part of the appeal of the Netflix business model is seeing what's going to be added next month or next year, for example. While it would be a dream to see them upload everything I ever wanted to see immediately, that's just not a realistic business move. People keep their subscriptions to see what's coming up next.

I'm sure they're going to release full episodes of Raw, Smackdown, Nitro, Thunder, etc and they want it to be clear that Benoit will be on said upcoming episode.

Sucks for Ricochet. I don't buy that he's too short as he's taller than some of the guys they've recently signed.
Honestly, of guys who recently got tryouts only guy I am really rooting to get an offer is Drake Younger.

He might be a better fit there. TNA might not be as picky about his looks. It's not just height, but an overall look imo. Yes Bryan got over, but Bryan, and even the also rejected American Wolves have a better "look" overall than Ricochet.

I can see that, but for me the WWE library is so deep and endless that I'd keep paying the subscription to have unlimited access to it for basically ever. If Netflix had basically every movie and TV show in history on it I'd keep paying for it indefinitely. I think a massive massive effectively endless library is just as if not more attractive for subscribers than a rotating one but maybe its just me. I get the feeling I don't quite understand the business of the situation, could be similar to that time that that department store decided to stop having sales and sell things at sale price all the time and it was a complete failure. Sadly honesty to the costumer does not work quite as well practically as it should :/.

I don't understand the gain of taking things down, only financial loss for them.
All that says to me is "Don't bother, just go look it up online instead".

Am I the only one who remains completely unimpressed by Rusev? I've only seen positive responses to him so far, and I just don't understand it. Then again, I've never been a fan of the 'big man' type wrestlers, so maybe the appeal just goes over my head.

He's one of the few people whose segments I usually skip through on NXT.

It's cuz his first match in his new gimmick on NXT was a surprisingly competitive match with Dolph Ziggler, so he had one of those "Damn he's already this good" kind of moments. He hasn't really been able to repeat it since

I don't understand the gain of taking things down, only financial loss for them. All that says to me is "Don't bother, just go look it up online instead". From the way the Network is being put up in the USA first, then going to other countries with a huge WWE fanbase a few months later (no specific dates) it feels like they don't want to overload or make their servers fail at any point by having too much information up at once. They're being careful so that they won't have to refund a national or global audience at any point. If they have so much information up (and let's face it, 1.5% of the WWE's archives is a HUGE amount of information) maybe they're frightened things will screw up regularly? Of course other things play into that, promise great events/footage/ex-DVD documentaries to be up "IN TWO MONTHS!" may make more people subscribe/extend their subscriptions, and by limiting what you can see in a certain period the company may have found a way to make their audience check the Network more regularly to tell sponsors/advertisers "well over x thousand more people checked this page this month, you should totally get your ad on there for $____!" It could be a way to both keep those who purchase the network active after certain points, all whilst keeping servers & the network clear given how many people may use it globally. Of course it could be something entirely different (see: people have been employed to make old footage/audio better looking & sounding, maybe a lot of their material isn't good enough for HD broadcast quality?) so it's all up in the air.

1.5% seems oddly specific.
Did they really count up all the possible available footage or something?
