It was nice of Fluttershy not to embarrass Rainbiw Dash, She could have qualified on her own but held back and let Rainbow Dash take the honour No she couldn't. Without 3 ponies, the Ponyville team would have been DQd, no matter how good one member is. |

Finally saw the episode. Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps are the only things that made this episode watchable.
Spitfire is now officially an asshole. Dash yet again picked the selfish route, hell if it wasn't for Twilight calling her out she STILL would've been going down the selfish route cause until Twilight approached her she was happily going along with it. Dash trying to avoid having to choose was worthy of a facepalm(or two). Also how in the blue hell did the Wonderbolts expect no one to see Dash training with them when everyone was training in a) the same damn facility, and b) said training would be taking place in the motherf***ing air? This show has some occasionally stupid moments.....but that had to be amongst the dumbest......
Also while it was nice to see Derpy I HATED how they danced around the subject of Derpy by not calling her her name(or any name for that matter, they just called her "Dash's replacement"), and the one chance built perfectly for her to speak, they had her simply shrug instead.
Oh and I don't fully believe Dash's journal entry. Will she eventually pick her friends over winning? Sure, maybe, but you can damn well bet she'll always initially pick winning......
In the end I have to give this a 5/10. Yet another Dash focused episode I didn't like as a whole.
Now if the episode was entirely about Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps? Well then things might have been different.

rainbow DANGER dash ..... right get this outta way watched it late night, but still awake ..... DID NOT LIKE THIS EPISODE ONE BIT!!!!! all over the place STORY WISE, and actually BORED me a bit, wondered why bulk biceps was even chosen from ponyville ..... even thought of giving this the LOWEST score i've ever given, a measly SIX ..... but i watched it again, and gonna give it an extra point, as it got BETTER on the second viewing ..... but still hmm lets see HAVE FIVE TEAMS QUALIFYING ONLY BOTHER SHOWING TWO TEAMS a griffin team, where we're crying out to know anything about them (well maybe just me) and why not have a ponyville qualifiers first THEN goto rainbow falls for the main trials!! and the actual trials wasn't that exciting and what the hell is rarity thinking, making stuff out of OLD CURTAINS?  ?? no really, SERIOUSLY? ?? good things though, rainbow dash's deciding to blow BOTH teams with that ridiculous excuse  and that led to her "realising" through CELESTIA moving the sun to the dropped flag ..... hmmm, methinks that was TOO convenient  but yeah big shout out to the derps, and even in that ONE SCENE proved she can lighten up ANY episode and of course one of my favourite things ever ..... CHEERLEADERS  one of course WILL BE NAMED POM-POM ..... perhaps the other one will be called RA-RA!!! there we go THERE ARE THEIR NAMES FANDOM!!!  and i'd watch out for those things given to the MAME6 ..... they may have a connection to THE MYSTERY BOX ..... or maybe not  SEVEN out of TEN for me ..... a LOW SEVEN mind! |
