here is the problem with “justin bieber is a girl!” jokes
1.you are turning misgendering someone into a joke. many transgender and nonbinary people have to deal with misgendering on a daily basis. it’s not something to be made light of by anyone but us, and it’s definitely not something acceptable to do to someone else. ever. no matter how much of an asshole they are.
2.you are implying that if a boy is androgynous or feminine then he is not really a boy. this reenforces restrictive gender roles and the notion that how someone dresses, acts, looks, or sounds is inherently indicative of their gender. it also alienates transboys and other transmasculine people, who, especially if they have not transitioned surgically/hormonally, are unlikely to look as masculine as cisboys/cismen. by saying that a cisboy like jb is too feminine for you to take him seriously as a boy, you are setting the bar impossibly high for many (if not most/all) trans males/transmasculine folk.
3.you are implying that it is bad for a boy to be feminine, which further implies that being feminine is bad, or that being a girl is bad.
4.you are implying that it is bad for a boy to be anything other than stereotypically masculine, which, again, upholds restrictive gender roles. many people, even cis people or binary trans people, have androgynous or fluid gender expression, or look/sound androgynous naturally. you are telling those people that their way of being is unacceptable and grounds for them to be treated as the wrong gender.

i understand it’s fun to make fun of this asshole but please don’t do it in a way that belittles people on the basis of femininity, gender identity, or gender expression. thanks

Guys an enabled idiot with serious problems and no semblance of repercussions. Lots of people are hateful of this because he's successful and probably legally retarded while most of us who work 9-5's struggle to make ends meet while he drives sports cars that we will never afford while drugged up and encouraged by his equally stupid parents.

Exactly. About the closest we've come to "Justin is a girl" is those images comparing him to Miley Cyrus. And that's not saying Justin is a girl. Just saying that he looks like Miley Cyrus. Miley Cyrus just happens to be a girl.

Oh no, it doesn't. And I didn't post it to wag my finger at the posters here, because no one here's really doing that aside from maybe the Miley comparison- and to be fair, his features do look eerily close to hers in that mugshot. But across the web and even before he started losing his mind, a lot of people did and still do constantly go back to the "hurr durr Bieber's a fag/lesbian/fairy boy"- which, without excusing his behavior or relating to anything regarding his music or marketing, is still pretty problematic.

It certainly wouldn't be cool if people were talking about a generally nice guy who wasn't famous and had soft looking features or a high voice like Bieber's. Him being a spoiled douche or just not liking his work (I don't think his stuff's that ear bleedingly horrible, but to each their own) is a perfectly good reason to attack him, but doing so for his looks or image does send a rather crappy message.

There may be a gigantic hole in the case against Justin Bieber ... because we've now learned the singer had next to NO alcohol in his system yet cops at the scene said he reeked of alcohol.

We have now confirmed Justin's actual blood alcohol level ... it was .014 -- next to nothing. Legal intoxication is .08. Law enforcement sources told TMZ Thursday Bieber had a .04 ... but we've now confirmed that is NOT true. He had a .014 -- an enormous difference.

Someone Justin's size would probably have higher than a .014 with a single beer. So the question ... how could cops say they were overpowered by the smell of alcohol?

According to the police report ... the arresting officer was leaning into the car, talking to Justin just after the stop and the cop says, "I immediately smelled an odor of alcohol eminating [sic] from the driver's breath."

The police report goes on ... Justin was then arrested and taken to a holding facility, where another officer said he smelled "... the odor of an alc bev on his breath."

Justin insisted at the scene he was NOT drunk. Cops say he failed his field sobriety test.

Sources connected to the case tell us ... this could well come down to a credibility case, with Justin's people accusing cops of lying. Fact is ... the Miami Beach PD has had credibility issues in the past. One law enforcement source confided in us ... "That police force has had a zillion problems."

Now TMZ is reporting .014.

The cops f***ed up and Bieber may just get off because of it.

It's probably the Xanax(I believe that's what they said, anywas) that he admitted to taking that he was largely under the influence of anyways. Those things will turn you into a crazy, mean, stumbling mess pretty easily. You combine the little bit of alcohol, marijuana, and Xanax into the equation and you have somebody that's pretty badly under the influence. At least in my state your alcohol level doesn't matter so much if you're under the influence of other substances as well. So he'll still be in some sort of trouble.

Unless something else comes to light, that is.

Depends on the physical evidence, a mistake in the report doesn't necessarily invalidate all work. A good attorney will be able to use that to cause doubt if the case is based entirely on a police officer's word. That just means they won't likely get him on underage drinking (unless he admitted to drinking on tape).

It only shows that his BAC was not above the legal limit, it doesn't mean he didn't drink. At the time it happened, it's possible that he'd had a drink earlier and it had worked mostly out of his system. It does mean that the chances of drunken driving charges are fairly low though, so that's ultimately irrelevant. If they get him on DUI, it'd be for drugs/marijuana most likely.

I haven't really followed this closely, have they filed any official charges? I know he was arrested on several complaints, but those don't really mean much, it's up to the DA to determine the actual charges that he'll have to face, if any.
