Yeah, Kurt Angle, NXT trainer sounds more like a workaround to exclude him from wellness testing rather than a genuine attempt to have him teach the next generation of wrestlers. Most of the older guys on the roster wouldn't pass the physicals that new signings undergo, yet we still see Undertaker and Triple H matches, and we've seen guys like Fit Finlay and the New Age Outlaws go from road agent/trainer positions to active roster spots so I'm sure they'll find some way to have a Kurt match at Wrestlemania should he return... His trainer role would make him an employee rather than an independent contractor, so less stringent substance testing should help sidestep some of his other issues.

Richard Sherman is a cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks. WrestleMania is in New Orleans, home of the Saints. The Seahawks eliminated the Saints. This is not a good idea, WWE.
Also, all the LOLs at 2 Cold Scorpio and Jimmy Wang Yang entering the Royal Rumble. The silence when their music hits would make Jinder Mahal wonder what they did wrong.

Even if someone did remember them and know their themes, most of the time you could barely hear Jimmy Wang Yang's and it wasn't exactly the most impactful theme ever. This is from Alvarez, not Meltzer. Hence why half of it sounds like bollocks. It certainly does. I'm choosing to believe that Batista part is a mere nod to a meme, it's just so absurd and gossipy to be taken at face value. I've heard for months that WWE ain't into indy guys. The year is still quite young. If more guys get turned down as the year rolls on, I'll definitely be inclined to believe it. Not yet, though. I don't know what to believe when it comes to guys who've worked the indies. NXT is littered with former indie workers, & there's quite a few on the main roster too. Personally, I think they'll hire anyone they feel will be able to work in their system, & make them money. However, that doesn't fit into the stereotypical "IWC smark" narrative though, since according to that segment of the fan base, WWE/Vince hates wrestling. Eh, whatever. |
