Was watching that movie No Strings Attached or Friends with Benifits (who gives a shit really) before Archer came on and he's not a good actor is he? I mean I'm not asking for Daniel Day Lewis here just some natural sounding dialog. When Shaun White the snowboarder came off just as natural in his cameo that's not a good sign.

I liked him quite a bit in Friends with Benefits; it helped that he had really good chemistry with Mila Kunis.

He's not a great actor, but he's a likeable guy. He's got a natural charisma and sometimes that is all that you need to make him work within a movie.

I've enjoyed him in everything I've seen him in. In fact, his acting is what really won me over as a Timberlake fan.

I'd call him average as an actor, though he's great as SNL host and in the skits.

He's decent I'll give him that.
Which is more than you can say about most male musicians who have tried their hand at acting.

Hey. 2005 called. They want to post in this thread but the time machine's not finished yet.
He's decent on SNL though.

JT's one of those middle-tier actors that's unlikely to win too many awards, though he'll usually get good reviews and won't ever ruin a film. He can even be a positive aspect of a bad movie (Yogi Bear, Love Guru).

He can even be a positive aspect of a bad movie (Yogi Bear, Love Guru). I agree with this and add that he really is an actor that needs a great director. David Fincher and The Coens seemed to bring good performances out of him.

No, but he's hardly terrible.
As a pure actor, he's rubbish, but as a singing, dancing Mouseketeer, he's pretty good.

He's good in "In Time". Actually a pretty good film. I got the premise and all, but it was still weird that they had Olivia Wilde be his mother.

I think when people say he's a good actor, they mean it in that tone that's reserved for all musicians/wrestlers/porn stars turned actors. It's the Hollywood version of "X diva has really improved".

Not really. He was damn good in The Social Network, and he's generally been decent in everything else. He's not Daniel Day Lewis or anything, but he's a perfectly solid actor.

He's not great, but I'd say he's about average. He did do a pretty decent job in Social Network, IMO.

He's fine in light, comedic fare. Can't really do much more than that, but he's good in those sort of roles.
