I don't see it as problematic.

If it makes you feel any better, Batgirl supported equal pay for women:
Instead on focusing on the polticial aspects of that video, i want to know more about Batman paying his sidekicks, did that ever come up in the comics? You'd think that Robin, living with Bruce, would have everything he needs at the snap of his fingers.

Dick Grayson was his ward, and Tim became his adopted son (same thing really, not sure about Jason, but sure it was the same deal), so they were essentially his kids.

Didn't he officially adopt Dick after the death of Damian finally? or was that Tim? I forget... I hadn't read the book it was in I just vaguely remember the panel.

I'm pretty sure it was Tim, but he coulda done the same with Dick as well. As I say though, ward was pretty much same deal.

Yeah, digging it up he apparently adopted Dick way back in 2001 in Gotham Knights 17... which is what I was thinking of. ![](http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_super/11/116123/2968383-gotham+knights+17.png)

Hardly problematic as this was done when the Vietnam war had just started. Message of the PSA aside I can't help but wonder why on earth would batgirl spring this on Batman when in the TV series she didn't work for batman and did crime fighting as a hobby in her spare time... not to mention surely she could of picked a better time to to bring it up as if Batman was her employer him getting blown skyhigh would mean that there be would be one to pay her for her services at all.

Not to mention she is also standing right next to the bomb...

I know that it's coming from the National Archives so it's bound to be good video quality, but my God, for being from 1966 that video is incredibly high quality.
