As far as WWE...is Rome starting to burn here? A lot of shit is going wrong at a really inopportune time. They're getting close to the breaking point, no doubt. Something's gonna change with their product, whether they want it to or not. If they had legit competition - hell, if they had a pre-Hogan/Bischoff clusterf**k TNA around - I'd say this would be the first of many. My money's on Ziggler being the next out of the door, for what that's worth.

Of course he took his ball home. It's time for the annual Ace Steel Kickball game! It's not kickball. It's a 16" Softball game.

Best in the World apparently now gone from Netflix. For some reason I thought that was pulled a while ago as part of a general WWE/Netflix housecleaning in preparation for the network. But then, I own the DVD so I haven't been looking for it recently. Now that this looks a little more real, I wonder how it will be addressed on TV. I'm leaning toward a similar burial to Austin's when he left, but he could just be ignored entirely.

Screw Punk going to ROH or TNA, let's all Twitter message him to join us, here at the F.A.N. zone. The mods can offer him 2.5 million posts as a signing bonus.

Let's apply real world office job logic to this:
Noone new in the company has been "promoted" since Punk was 2 and a half years ago
The last person that was, was in fact then demoted again after 3 months for literally no reason
When it looked like someone could break out and get a promotion, they rehire an old, unreliable worker with no skill, but does have connections.
I'd quit that office job too, or possibly incite a riot among the rest of the workers.

So pretty much these were our two options after the Royal Rumble: A. Piss off the people who complained about Daniel Bryan's booking and risk fans hijacking more shows B. CM Punk walks out of the company Tough call Rather presumptuous on exactly why Punk left, and several other unknown variables. I mean let's be honest here, do we REALLY think that CM Punk left out of protest for Daniel Bryan's booking or because Batista won the Royal Rumble, a fact of which he had to have known at least a month in advance, like some people seem to think here? Yes I'm making some assumptions, but going by what happened on Raw and the reports for the last month that Triple H vs. CM Punk was a lock for WrestleMania to me comes off as Bryan's getting his match and he pretty much was gonna get the Batista vs Umaga at WrestleMania 24 treatment

All I gotta say is:

Best in the World apparently now gone from Netflix. That's been gone for a few weeks. Their WWE section is dwindling. They added Thy Kingdom Come the other day. Clearly that's all the WWE anyone needs.

Maybe it's the start of a new walkout storyline.
So I predict Punk will be back within two weeks.

Punk's not going to go anywhere else anyway. He was likely going to go into self-imposed semi-retirement come July regardless, to recharge, heal and get his shit together. But obviously something expedited that desire to the point wherein he either just said "f*** it, I'm out," right now, or with the reshuffling of the WrestleMania card after the Rumble disaster, and his own match being likely changed, he and Vince came to some sort of arrangement for him to sit out and play this up. The whole thing from here on in could be a giant work. Or at least one in progress.
I still fully think they had plans for Bryan to main event Extreme Rules, but did not think Batista would be this poorly received. And everything since Sunday night has been a mad race to find balance.

Poor CM Punk. He got Chokeslammed through a table and was never seen again.

Mike Graham actually came up with being dead. He'd tell you just as much, but he's dead.
