Wow, even on Arsenio Punk has gotten attention. Who would have thought CM Punk and Daniel Bryan would help the WWE get mainstream recognition in THIS way? that's why I think at least in the Bryan/Rumble situation, this is why the E did it. Not as many people outside of wrestling would be talking about this if Bryan actually won the rumble. Of course now, punk may have inadvertently switched the spotlight from Bryan to himself with his walkout. Either way, the E is regaining mainstream publicity from a ppv that a lot of fans thought sucked.

Stone Cold's take on the situation: What seems interesting is that Austin thinks Punk will return sooner rather than later. Although money may or may not be a factor, I have to agree with him. the screen cap of this makes it look like austin has no legs from the knees down

That's how his legs go now when he doesn't have those massive braces on them.

@wweroaddogg Hogan left, Rock left, Austin left, HBK left.... Theses were huge stars! Superstars come and go, the show must go on! U wait on the future @wweroaddogg Don't overthink my last tweet. Human emotions are involved and they're always unpredictable. We should all be able to understand that. Defending Road Dog a little bit, I'm sure that Tweet was meant as a morale booster for the rest of the locker room. Sort of a way to encourage the young guys to step it up in Punk's absence and reassure everyone that WWE will be okay without him. The second tweet was probably him realizing that the wording makes it seem like dissing Punk, or at least minimizing the affect that his absence will have on the product. Regarding Austin's comments, I think he hit the nail on the head. Punk is a pretty stubborn guy, so I'm sure he'll be stewing over this for a while. However, I think he'll eventually make his way back whether its a month, six months or a year from now. He won't be gone forever.

Huh?

I also highly doubt they wanted to disappoint fans that were at the arena and who ordered the show.

As always take with a pinch of salt (or maybe even more considering how big this story is in itself), but a source claims the contrary of whats being said. Spoilered as it goes pretty indepth........ {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Source Claims That WWE Is Pulling A Work With CM Punk Leaving Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.31.2014 What do you think? Considering the source, you should obviously consider this a rumor until there's some kind of official confirmation. According to The Examiner , sources close to WWE said that CM Punk leaving WWE is actually one big work. While it's true that Punk is angry for letting part-time talent like Batista and The Rock get main event matches at Wrestlemania while full time wrestlers like Punk and Daniel Bryan are in the midcard on major PPVs, the stories that he walked out on the company are exaggerated. He is under contract with WWE until the mid-summer and there is no truth that the relationship between both parties has been damaged beyond repair. Punk is not happy with the creative direction but both he and WWE are using it to their advantage. Many within WWE are being kept in the dark to drive "internal source leaks" about Punk leaving. Punk is currently beat up and tired due to the company's schedule and needs a break. This will allow Punk to stay popular with fans while he recovers in the recent weeks. A source said: "It looks like a work. We probably won't see him in a match until after WrestleMania." The source said that Punk's supposed "reason for leaving" will be well known by the time he comes back, setting up a title match with Batista, which WWE will set up as the source of his anger. The source added: "CM Punk is probably the smartest guy and shrewdest marketing mind the WWE has ever employed. Will we see him back? Absolutely. But don't try to figure out when. It may be a while. But he will main event WrestleMania again." WWE is expected to "future endeavor" Punk online and on TV within the week. The source also complimented Punk, saying he should be in charge of creative and not Triple H. Once again, due to the source you should only treat this as a rumor.
