As always take with a pinch of salt, but a source claims the contrary of whats being said. Spoilered as it goes pretty indepth........ {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Source Claims That WWE Is Pulling A Work With CM Punk Leaving Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.31.2014 What do you think? Considering the source, you should obviously consider this a rumor until there's some kind of official confirmation. According to The Examiner , sources close to WWE said that CM Punk leaving WWE is actually one big work. While it's true that Punk is angry for letting part-time talent like Batista and The Rock get main event matches at Wrestlemania while full time wrestlers like Punk and Daniel Bryan are in the midcard on major PPVs, the stories that he walked out on the company are exaggerated. He is under contract with WWE until the mid-summer and there is no truth that the relationship between both parties has been damaged beyond repair. Punk is not happy with the creative direction but both he and WWE are using it to their advantage. Many within WWE are being kept in the dark to drive "internal source leaks" about Punk leaving. Punk is currently beat up and tired due to the company's schedule and needs a break. This will allow Punk to stay popular with fans while he recovers in the recent weeks. A source said: "It looks like a work. We probably won't see him in a match until after WrestleMania." The source said that Punk's supposed "reason for leaving" will be well known by the time he comes back, setting up a title match with Batista, which WWE will set up as the source of his anger. The source added: "CM Punk is probably the smartest guy and shrewdest marketing mind the WWE has ever employed. Will we see him back? Absolutely. But don't try to figure out when. It may be a while. But he will main event WrestleMania again." WWE is expected to "future endeavor" Punk online and on TV within the week. The source also complimented Punk, saying he should be in charge of creative and not Triple H. Once again, due to the source you should only treat this as a rumor. If he's not coming back as a surprise or swerve if it was a work then it's an empty story. More of the same no-new-info-but-capitalize-on-fan-want-for-this writing. (The media has corrupted me and made me want to criticize nothing reporting even on news and/or newz websites)

If this is a work, I hope they're turning Punk heel. Because if we do get Punk/HHH at WrestleMania, in one corner we'll have an entitled spoiled brat who's out of touch with what fans want to see out of him. In the other corner? Triple H.

I don't buy for one second that this is a work in the traditional sense. However, this could turn into a Matt Hardy scenario where it started off as a very real release, but both parties reconciled and were able to turn this into an angle.

Heel Punk is the most entertaining thing WWE has ever done. You're leaving out the part where he ends up not being a heel because no one in the crowd will boo him.

Heel Punk is so over the top and ridiculous. Like he could kill an endangered animal like a tiger or something, barbecue it and eat it in front of a group of homeless people and still get cheered.

I've yet to see a reason why I shouldn't believe this is legit. I think when he decides to come back that this is the direction they'll go in/.

In all honesty, I hope that's not true entirely because I don't think anything on this planet interests me less than a Batista / Punk title feud.

There's no way this is a work.
If it was, WWE would have "reported" this before giving anyone a chance to report it.
The fact that BBC is posting articles about this and WWE has yet to even open their mouth, tells me that they're trying everything they can to convince Punk to come back before they seemingly have no choice but to announce it.

Huh? Ok, I translated the words that are all in caps in the quoted post. Apparently he said "Punk & Daniel Bryan in Chicago WrestleMania will be perfect and make history because of its buzz because Punk returns." Or something.

Looks like I was right about Punk and Axxess. According to Pro Wrestling Torch, WWE pulled him from the event and replaced him with Ric Flair.
Oddly enough, Ric was supposed to be at Axxess last year but had to pull out after the death of his son. Undertaker replaced him.

Put Austin in the next Rumble. How can he be knocked out? Both feet have to touch the floor. Does this mean that Zach Gowen was technically un-eliminatable!? I've always said I wanted to see a rumble start with Zach Gowen and Kamala.

Like, could Punk theoretically dress like a Waffen SS officer, goose step and declare a love for the Third Reich...and still get cheered? I suspect "yes."

I really don't want a Punk/Batista program that involves the title. It's Bryan's time to carry it. I'd much rather see Punk go after WWE, titles be damned. Basically just a continuation of his 2011 angle before Triple H and Kevin Nash ruined it.
