Man, if Dallas did trade up to get Manziel, it'd be more of a clusterf*** of a season than usual.
As is, right now my prediction is 8-8, cuz why the f*** wouldn't it be?

Weird. Thought I had the Cards and forgot about the Jets. Thought something was off about the NFL.com thing but couldn't put my finger on it. If I am doing it right, Cards seem to be at .547, Jets at .520

Smooth move NFL, what do you plan to do for an encore, give the number 2 pick in the Draft back to the Redskins?

There's a certain point when the NFL will reach oversaturation, and the league is coming damn close to it. I tend to agree with Mark Cuban's criticisms of the league, that they're reaching too far with it and eventually all things come to an end. It won't happen overnight, but I think we saw the first salvos of it with "Draft Day". I bet the NFL thought that the public would go bananas over an NFL movie and they'd be raking in the dollars. Well, it tanked at the box office and the reviews were unkind. Look at the Thursday night games. Sure, the NFL just struck a deal to simulcast the games on NFL Network and CBS, and I'm sure ratings will be killer to start, but how long will the average viewer continue tune in to a crappy 13-10 game between the Raiders and Chargers or a 16-13 war of attrition between the Cardinals and Rams? At some point, the casual viewer will start to tune out when they realize the quality of the games on Thursday aren't nearly what they are on Sunday. And expanding the draft is a bad idea. Again, because the NFL is currently teflon, it'll draw viewers at the start. But will people really be tuning in in droves to watch rounds six and seven on a Sunday afternoon? Yeah, let's get excited to see what fourth-string right guard the Panthers are going to select with the 214th pick! The NFL can't always rely on the "whatever, people will still watch" card, because that's how products go stale and viewers turn away. Last season was a terrible season of football, in both on-field product and off-field trouble for the league. The NFL needs to understand that spreading its net further and wider than ever before is not necessarily always a good thing.

Earl Thomas' contract extension with Seahawks is 4 years, $40 million, $27.725 million guaranteed, per Ian Rapoport.
Jason LaCanfora is reporting that Seahawks is also working on locking up Richard Sherman long-term as well.
Now they need to lock up Russell Wilson to a long-term deal.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens are "keeping an eye on" Texans reserve QBs T.J. Yates and Case Keenum.
Jeff Sullivan of the Cowboys' website was told the team will "absolutely no(t)" draft Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel.
