Mother Brain from Captain N is the same voice of Audrey 2 in Little Shop of Horrors.

Back to the Future is banned in China because they believe time travel is a threat to their way of life.

The woman who appears near the end of The Avengers (2013) giving a TV interview about how Capt. America saved her, is the same woman who plays Ellie in The Last of Us. In the same game, the guy who plays Bill was Mary's "special" brother Warren in There's Something about Mary.
Doesn't blow my mind but a surprising fact that always puts a smile on my face: The BBC iPlayer has a volume slider that goes up to 11. Similarly, This is Spinal Tap has a score out of 11 on IMDB.

Ever heard of the infamously terrible film Death Bed: The Bed That Eats? Jock Brandis, the props guy (who also has a small part in the movie) and therefore the one who designed and possibly built the titular death bed, is a freaking hero. He is wanted by the Nigeria government for "air piracy", by which they mean he flew children who were starving to death because of a military blockade out of the country and nursed them back to health. Since those days, he has developed a nut sheller which helps third-world nation villages increase their food production and gain some level of independence.
Fun fact: he was also a gaffer on Scanners, where he also made a cameo appearance!

-Gustav Princip assasinated Franz Ferdinand on his second try. He missed the first time and only succeeded because of the detour the carriage driver took. -John Tyler was the 10th president. He was also elected to the Confederate Congress (he died before serving.) -Geoff Edwards (who hosted many US game shows in the 70''s and 80's) was one of the reporters present when Ruby shot Oswald and was interviewed on live TV about it not long after.

I still don't know how they work The winter of 1932 was so cold that Niagara Falls froze completely solid. While the US government’s supply of gold is kept at Fort Knox, its supply of silver is kept at the Military Academy at West Point, NY

In the same game, the guy who plays Bill was Mary's "special" brother Warren in There's Something about Mary. He was also Dan the bartender/right hand killer on Deadwood. THAT blows my mind.(also Gail Weathers fat camera man in Scream)

One of my favorite shows when I was a kid was the reruns of Get Smart on Nick @ Nite. In that show, Maxwell Smart's main nemesis is Siegfried whose main henchman was Shtarker. Shtarker was played by King Moody...William Moody's aka Paul Bearer's dad!!!
What do Leonardo (original Cartoon version), He-man (2002 version), Rocksteady (original TMNT cartoon), Doc Samson (Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes), and Piledriver (any of the current Marvel cartoons) all have in common? They were all voiced by Cam Clark!
SPEAKING OF He-man, John Erwin who voiced the original 1980's He-man was also the sports caster in Back to the Future II.

James Earl Jones was a regular guest star on the early Mathnet segments on PBS' Square One TV (He played the Chief.)
Actually that show (Mathnet) had quite the eclectic set of guest stars: Wayne Knight, Kevin McCarthy, Al Lewis, McClain Stevenson, Dick Sargent, Damien Demento (No Really, well his appearance was from before he was Demento in the WWF but he was in there.) just to name a few.
And another mind blowing thing to come out of Mathnet was that Yardley Smith appeared in one of the first episodes in 1987. She was just starting her career and like most young actresses was frustrated at the lack of work she was getting. One of the directors of the show gave her a bit of a pep talk and sure enough a little later on she got what would soon be a life long role as the voice of Lisa Simpson.
So if it wasn't for an educational satire of Dragnet the Simpsons would be a vastly different show.

But to add to it...Ms. Smith was in the very first episode of Square One's Mathnet. Furthermore, Weird Al was a guest on the regular Square One AND Mathnet. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND....Kate Monday? Adriana La Cerva's mother on Sopranos.

I did not know that James Avery was The Shredder until a few years ago.
I always assumed Never Gonna Give You Up was sung by a black person until the Rickroll became a "thing".
I did not know that Hugh Laurie or Idris Elba were British.
