I gotta give Triple H credit for something.
When Bryan was on the mat and HHH leaned over him, berating him, and then Bryan kicked HHH in the face... Damn HHH made that look like a million bucks. And then selling it afterwards and stumbling over like a drunk. That was pretty brilliant and needs to be giffed.

I thought this thread was gonna be about HHH managing to bury Bryan even when he's selling for him.

Really a kick from a lying position likely wouldn't cause more than about 2 seconds of trouble. Few people could get the force necessary from that position to really hurt someone.

I don't normally do this. But I'm pretty sure anyone taking a kick from D-Bry laying on his back would take a minimum of 30 minutes to consider standing back up. So HHH taking the kick and stumbling like a baffoon really speaks for his superhuman ability to take the kick.

They were in overtime as it was, I think it's fair to let it fly.

You have a guy who just finished a match, has just been speared, and is flat on his back. So he can't get a backswing, he's tired, in pain, and in a terrible position to kick with power. He's probably kicking with a small fraction of what he's capable of, and he's kicking a durable guy who is still fresh. It shouldn't take him that long to get up unless it was a really lucky shot, or the guy doing the kicking was Cro Cop. I mean, it'd probably hurt, but I've been kicked in the head from much better positions and got up faster than 30 seconds.

Totally agree with the OP. And it's obvious in the gif, too; Trips sold it like a headshot.

The greatest kick-from-Daniel-Bryan-to-Triple H-while-Daniel-Bryan-is-laying-on-the-ground in the history of this sport.

How about every single one of Bryan's opponents who don't get pinned by him kicking them in the head? Here you had Bryan who had just had a match, gotten speared, and he was in a bad spot kicking a fresh Triple H. Bryan wasn't anywhere near 100%, and Triple H was at 100%, it makes perfect sense a kick from a lying down position wouldn't knock Triple H out.

Ridiculous over the top selling ala HBK against Hogan. He wanted to make Bryan seem like a fool.

The whole... 2 seconds he sold it? Oh for f***'s sake, IT'S WRESTLING. Things that would murder an ordinary human keep people down for like a 3 count at most.
