Surprised not to see a thread on this already. I know I can't be the only one who picked this up already. So far I'm loving it except for the fact that I'm now totally stuck on the {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Anal Probe section . The quicktime event is killing me, first section seems like I barely need to touch the button second one takes everything I've got to move the meter a quarter of the way before failing. But otherwise so far so good, just hope the fact that this is going take me forever to get past doesn't kill the game for me.

I'm waiting a bit.
According to multiple reviews it is truly an Obsidian game, because there have been numerous cited glitches and other technical flaws, such as constant stuttering issues.
So I'll wait for the price to drop and for Obsidian to patch the game.
I still can't believe that even with YEARS of development time(keep in mind that until THQ went tits up this game going to come out a long time ago) they still produce a game with multiple glitches.....

Like people's saves would be erased, or their character doesn't appear during cutscenes, or they would get stuck on boss fights, or the boss fights wouldn't even start correctly.

Kinda doesn't surprise me, it's obsidian. Ever game I've paid attention to released by them seems to be a buggy mess.

If you do them in any other order than one specific way it freezes up and won't continue the tutorial.

Apparently it's censored in Australia.

Apparently it's censored in Australia. It is censored everywhere but North America. And the censorship is HILARIOUS. Instead of showing the sequence being censored, they show an image of a regional specific thing while below them describing the sequence being censored in explicit detail. In Australia the image is a koala crying. In Europe it is a statue(don't remember which one) face palming.

I'm getting it on Friday since I have the weekend off. I didn't pre-order the big edition and I'm disappointed because I can't find it anywhere. I don't know much about RPG but I love South Park and from the reviews, that alone is gonna make it a blast for me.

I'm a couple hours into fooling around on it, and it's pretty great so far.
There definitely was a glitch trying to finish the tutorial, but nothing else as of yet.

I've gotten slowdown and stuttering during the battles. Normally in an RPG that's not too bad, but in a game like this where timing is literally THE main mechanic? That's game-breaking.

Beat the game, I find that it's up there with the Arkham games as one of the best licensed video games of all time. It's exactly like playing out an extra long episode of South Park, which is definitely a good thing. Some of the humor's super gross out and can get uncomfortable at times, but that's the series' MO.
I hadn't really encountered any glitches, aside from a texture issue once. Plus, the game does have a tendency to stutter while walking through time on the PS3 Digital version. But I have heard everything from losing your equipment, to losing save files, and the like. So, be warned that there ARE some issues to work out, but I personally didn't experience any and I'm glad with my purchase.

I really want to play this for the South Parky nature of it, but the gameplay looks like utter shit. Combat looks slow as a early 90s JRPG. For those who are playing it, does the gameplay get any better then what they show in the trailers? If not I'm just going to watch a Lets Play and let some poor bum slog through boring combat.

Some people find that kind of combat a positive, heh. It's engaged. You have to hit buttons during your attacks to make them work, and block when enemies hit you to take less damage and counterattack. Also, you do magic by doing stick commands.
