So here's something I've thinking of for a while now. A battle royale game... not the wrestling one. If you've read the novel or manga, or watched the film, here's how it goes. You guys get herded into one area, and you gotta kill each other until there's only one left.
And here's what I've been thinking of how to make this work without complicating things too much. We're gonna set up a grid which would be the area the game participants would move in. Each participant would be placed in a random area of said grid, each of them with a random weapon, and they'll have to move and roleplay their way around the area, exploring the place and seeing if they can get something to use.
Of course, if two or more people would run into each other in the same spot, then it's time to get the killing done. Or somesuch.
This is just half an idea right now, so if anyone is interested... well, go get posting here.

Okay, here's what I thought so far.
It'd be a grid-map-thing like I said where participants are placed in random parts of the map. The participants won't know their exact coordinates in the grid, so they have to figure that one out on their own.
As for moving... let's say each participant can move 2-3 spaces in any direction. I think this could be done via PM. I'll be PMed by each participant on what direction they'll go to, and in turn perhaps I'll give them some idea of their surroundings. How they interact with the given surroundings are up to them. Maybe scavenge for impromptu weapons, or set a trap, or leave a message. Get creative for more fun.
Now, as for the encounters. Like I said, the participants will tell me where they wanna go. Now if I find that two or more participants are in the same spot, it's fight time. I am still a bit hazy on how this can go down, but here's an idea. For a sneak attack-like situation. The one doing the sneak attack will PM me, and give me a direction, like right or left. In turn, I'll PM the one being attacked, making them guess between the two directions. If the one being attacked guesses wrong, then it could end badly for him.
Oh, and aside from that, while I did say that there could only be one winner, there's no harm in forming temporary alliances. Feel free to stab them in the back when they least expect it.

I'm still thinking on what to do with guns. Methinks they should be in the game, but at the same time in very limited supply. Like not much ammo or something. And no one would have them at the start of the game.

You all should really pick up Clue: Museum Caper. Amazingly fun board game like this with so much repeatability.

And no one would have them at the start of the game. You could also have a limited number of bullet proof vests, if you go the gun route. The vests could also be damaged or some how compromised, to provide limited protection (can take a few shots but then becomes useless).

What kinda environment would it take place in? Some sort of island, I suppose. Much like the original source, the entire map in time will get smaller and smaller in a sense. The outer areas, and maybe other areas would be forbidden to stay in. Bomb collars and what not. Stay in one of the no-go zones and you go boom. It'll get smaller in time, not due to people getting killed off. So later on if there are still a lot of participants there would be a lot of opportunity to get some heavy encounters. I should try figuring out some terrain effects and whatnot. Like forests would have better cover in the event of someone running away, or something. Also thinking of... something like in TRPGs, where at the end of a turn a participant would have to pick what direction they're facing. North, south, east and west, that sort of thing. So let's say on one spot a participant is facing north. On the spot behind him another participant is facing north. The one below can go for a sneak attack, or something, or perhaps try to be diplomatic and try to contact the person. Just an idea. I'd like to hear your input on that, guys.
