I totally understand the Belles reaction. If that age If I had done something and someone else got the credit for it I wouldn't be happy either. Maybe destroying stuff was abit ott but I can understand her not being happy with Rarity

Fuess what? People are complaining: "WAH WAH WAH SWEETIE BELLE DOESN'T LIVE WITH RARITY SHE LIVES WITH HER PARENTS WHY DOES SHE HAVE A ROOM THERE INCONSISTENCY YOU FAIL POLSKY WAH WAH WAH!" I guess they have never heard the concept of a guest room before. Or else they assumed Sweetie was sleeping on the floor when she visits her sister.

Going by the toy box, this is just Sweetie's room at Carousel Boutique, not exactly a guest room

If you didn't say that you wanted frilly sleeves, then don't complain when the designer doesn't add frilly sleeves. And Sweetie Belle did said that the dresses were perfect, so of course Rarity would be relived at that. But then Sweetie Belle wouldn't give Rarity a chance to even talk or apologize (like she intended to) once she went on that anger filled tirade. I don't know, you're acting like SB was venting at her for hours. It was a really short conversation before Rarity left. Whether the dresses were perfect or not isn't the the big issue, it's that as soon as she heard that the costumes weren't the problem, she happily trotted off, rather than listening to her. Her sister was upset, and Rarity recognized that that, but she just didn't care enough to hang around for more than a minute. Yes, she was busy, but it's still a bit of a dick move to happily saunter off while saying you're part was perfect when your little sister is really upset about how her play went. It's like you're just not allowing a child to feel disappointed about anything. Of course it didn't go for hours, but Sweetie Belle immediately shut herself in her room when she was done. Then Rarity decided to give her some space. In the very beginning, Rarity asked Sweetie Belle how the play went, so it would't be too far off to think she'd listen to Sweetie Belle once they got past the dresses. But that's when Sweetie Belle went off. And sure kids can be disappointed at stuff, but it's gonna be difficult to reason with them when their anger is directed at the wrong target.

I give the episode an 8.
Whether you think SB was in the wrong or not, it was a very realistic portrayal for a how a little girl might see the situation and respond. Realistic emotion is a good thing, and I think people sometimes hold characters to really harsh standards in not allowing them to have emotion or get upset or be shocked at anything, which would create robotic, unrealistic characters (and a really boring show with no conflict... so generation 3).
The only bit of the writing that I didn't like was with Applebloom and Scootaloo on the train, where they treated it more like a trip. I mean, I'd assume that they wouldn't just jump on a train without Sweetie Belle telling them what it was for.
The dream sequence was really well done too.

It wouldn't be too far off if she didn't head off when she heard that the dresses weren't the issue. That was when she went to her room, and at that point, it gives off the impression that she was more focused on the reception of her costumes than her sister being upset. In SB's mind, the fact that she didn't go back later only confirms it. From our perspective, seeing Rarity's side, we know why she didn't go in to check it out, but SB doesn't see that, she'd just think that her sister ignored her feelings again because she was more interested in her own stuff than the fact that no one would pay attention to her play. SB's line of thinking makes perfect sense, and it is precisely how a 10-year-old kid might respond to that situation. And the episode ended with SB getting a reality check, which is precisely how it should have ended. Rarity wasn't some evil maniac here, but her response to her sister being upset did exacerbate the situation. SB overreacted and went to great lengths to try to fix it. Nothing about that was badly done.

If she didn't have a chance to speak last time, then what chance does she have the second time? Yeah it can pass as a typical 10-year-old reaction, but that doesn't make her in the right. Still, it was nice to see her come to her senses in the end (with the help of Luna).

I guess that zip-lining experience from Season 1 paid off.
