I'm fond of Team WCW vs. Team nWo from Fall Brawl 96, even in spite of the Double Sting non-sense. I liked this one as well... but it doesn't hold up over time, really. It's nobody's fault, I mean... it really could've only happened at a PPV and it set the whole Crow Sting angle into motion. But, two factors do make this stand out to me. 1. I wasn't 100% convinced it actually was Sting who attacked Luger and joined the NWO, but I also didn't know anybody who looked that much like Sting. So I figured it was a fake, but had no idea where they were going with it. 2. The glory days of "watching" PPVs through scrambled TV stations. Every so often you'd get a picture, but most of the time you just heard what was going on through static (with me, I had to constantly refresh the channel to keep the audio).... so when they said Sting was coming to the ring to join the NWO side I was like, "REALLY? They went through with Sting in the NWO? Oh man, where does it go from here?" Then they said the real Sting came out and I marked pretty hard through my confusion. It was definitely a moment that got me super curious about what was happening... but, it's one of those things where you realize the entire point of the match was the reveal and when that stops being shocking, it just doesn't hold up much anymore.

Avoid 1997's match. It was pretty much designed specifically to bury the Horsemen and nothing else. The only good thing about that entire match was Chris Benoit, and a lot of people have a hard time even watching him now.
