wow I guess it shows how much of a difference one vote makes It actually makes me wonder how in the blue hell the Top 10 managed to get their scores, considering what a mere single 6/10 did to the average that up to that point was almost nothing but 9's and 10's(there may have been a few 8's as well, I don't remember). Because The Last Roundup is overrated as ****, that's why it's still there. It only got so high because of Derpy at the beginning; the rest of the episode is pretty average, being blunt. |

Derpy being in a featured role didn't do a thing for Rainbow Falls, though, so it can't all be pinned on Derpy.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with the I Love Lucy homage, or Pinkie being all about the chimi-cherry-changa and the Raritycatchme scene, or that well done chase scene that it was a part of. Result of the Friday game on the 30th league day in the Pony Bundesliga...
Lyra's team showed a good effort, winning against Princess Luna with 2:0.

Or perhaps some of us actually really enjoyed the rest of the episode after the Derpy scene. I was one of the people that gave it a 10 and the Derpy scene had nothing to do with it, I'm actually one of the people that finds Derpy annoyingly overrated, yes it was a nice feature but it certainly wasn't the highlight of the episode for me. - Applejack was great this ep - Apple Fritter was seen - Cherry Jubilee was a nice edition - I liked the chase scene - Rarity vowing revenge on Rainbow Dash (Though I'm still annoyed to this day it never happened) So sorry, your ability to read peoples minds have failed you on this occasion  Easily in my top episodes of all time Something crossed out  |

Yeah, I'm gonna call horse shit on that. It's not like every comment about the episode was "that was pretty good" followed by "OMG DERPY", that would be just asinine.
Oh. Wait. That's exactly what happened. The vote lasted for four hours before the topic locked and the score was locked down, and all anyone was talking about in the fandom in general was Derpy having a couple of lines (remember, this is the same episode where the whole "Applejack is a background pony" thing started). Compare to today where we might not even finish a thread before a new episode pops up and we have to manually post our scores.
Seriously, I don't deny that it has moments, and it is a good episode. But Top Three? Good lord, no. We've had better episodes than it this season. Rainbow Falls didn't get a high score because the episode had issues, and the Derpy card was already played in season two (and arguably better), so it had less of an effect. The Last Roundup, when it aired, was a moment where the show runners really gave a shout out to the bronies, which was nice (even if you ignore the drama that followed it). But it just does not deserve the position it holds.

I'm only speaking for myself here but Derpy had nothing to do with it.
Call horse shit all you want but I know personally that I pretty much enjoyed everything about the episode after that scene, even if that scene had never happened I would still have loved the episode.
If Derpy was the sole purpose of the high ratings than Rainbow Falls would be in the top 5 right now.
I don't share the same love for Derpy as others do, I think there are better background Pony characters.
