I know I saw threads like this before, but I was thinking about this question.
Not sure about any indies, but I know Triple H had five matches on a Smackdown in late 1999.

He also had 3 on that ppv where he faced Orton twice, and Umaga.

There were nights back in the early 80s where Hulk Hogan was travelling from the US to Japan so much making dates that he would regularly end up working up to eight or nine matches in what was technically one night because of the time change (brother)

PWG DDT4 (when it's held on 1 night) winners & finalists wrestle 3 times in a night. When BOLA was a 1-day tourney one year, El Generico & Kevin Steen both wrestled 3 singles matches.

I always thought it was interesting that Bret Hart had probably the most intense pay per view year ever from King of the Ring 1993 through Wrestlemania X. He worked double duty 4 of the 5 shows (the one he didn't was a 30 minute survivor series match that he worked most of). He wrestled a total of 10 matches for nearly 2.5 hours of ring time. Whether or not he had the belt, he was their guy back then and they new it.

And Savio Vega did 4 matches at King of the Ring '95.

Didn't Kurt have four matches at KOTR 2001, or am I making that up? I know the Shane match was his third of the night.

Not sure, but I think Flair has to be in contention.
