I heard one person suggest that he's not lost clean for about nine months now, but I don't know if that's true and I don't know who it was that beat him last.
No reason other than just curiosity and trivia. Anyone know the answers here?

Bray Wyatt beat him clean at the Rumble.
Of course according to John Cena's last promo, Bray Wyatt hasn't beaten "anybody" on his own, proceeding to bury both Wyatt and Bryan in the same breath.

Man, I remember trying to rationalise Bryan losing that match to Bray in my brain for a good hour. He can't win both matches as it'd be over-kill and losing to Bray gives him a built in feud when he wins the belts, right? Right? Wrong... well, kinda.

Bryan loses clean to Bray so of course Cena beats Bray. Hopefully Cena loses clean at Extreme Rules in the cage match (not holding my breath), but I always think its funny when people try to justify Cena always winning because he's the face and faces should win feuds when pretty much any other WWE face will lose clean no problem.

Ah yes. John Cena's done such a fine job of burying Daniel Bryan. Like that time at SummerSlam when.... ....oh yeah. He lost cleanly.

Saying Wyatt hadn't done anything on his own when he cleanly beat the WWE Champion - who cleanly beat Cena - was a ridiculous thing for him to say or him to be scripted to say.

According to Cena he didn't lose cleanly, remember Cena came out the next night on RAW and said "I wrestled with a injured arm that's the size of a grapefruit that needs to be drained, but I'm not going to make any excuses before I leave." Uh-huh...so Cena didn't lose cleanly according to Cena.

The Bray win wasn't completely clean - Harper and Rowan were involved early on. Plus, the only reason Bray won was because he bit his way out of the Yes Lock, then he pretty much got straight-up lucky with the Sister Abigail into the barricade at the end. The story of the match was pretty much that Bryan had his number but between being hurt and Bray's tricks couldn't get the job done.

Christ, are we really doing this thread for Bryan already? Cena had been on top for years before I ever saw a "Last guy to beat Cena clean?" thread.

If Bryan's Summerslam win over Cena is tainted (which it isn't and was never presented as being so) then Bray's win against Daniel must be too. No one will say that, though, because it doesn't fit the narrative of DB being "buried" by the WWE.

Cena lost clean to Bryan. Bryan lost clean to Bray. And the Cena promo was a mistake in wording, it's not like the commentators immediately began burying Bray's win over Bryan, they never even mentioned it.

Yes, it completely buried Bryan, I'm sure that off-the-cuff remark which most of the audience know is bullshit is the entire reason why Bryan is now a heat vacuum everywhere he goes.

When he says someone hasn't proven themselves yet, he means they're a heel who hasn't beaten him specifically on six consecutive PPVs. Like that time Alberto retained the WWE title against Mysterio then Cena immediately came out and told him he was a loser and sooner or later he'd have to have a real title match.

So who was the last one before Wyatt? Not counting the Shield, probably Randy Orton during that "Weak Link" storyline last year.
