There's nothing wrong with celebrities charging for meet and greets/VIPs, and it seems like the most of the time the celebrities offer cool deals with all the stuff you get. But if you're going to do meet and greets, at least pretend like you want to be there and make it worth the while of the people who paid for it.
I don't even like Rihanna's music, but I might need to attend a meet and greet.

Before we start harping on people for paying money to meet other people, I want to add that I paid $150 to get my photo taken with Cheech and Chong backstage at one of their shows. I got a goodie bag with a laminated pass, t-shirt and a few other goodies. In turn, C&C donated the money to a local food shelf. It was a win-win as a long-time fan of theirs. As much as I don't care about about Avril, there are people who like her enough to spend that kind of money. It's their money. Yeah I am there, the only problem is that your example really lessens Avril in comparison to Cheech and Chong. Though... I now wish to know what Tom Hiddleston will charge to be given a piggyback ride... |

I guess that I'm trying to say that I got a much better deal than anyone who paid $400 to meet Avril.
