1. Raiders 2. Temple 3. Crusade 4. Crystal Crap
I can't understand why would anybody rank Crystal above any of the original 3. This was like it wasn't made by the same guy. Same thing as the original Star Wars Trilogy compared to the next three or the Die Hard Trilogy compared to the other two crappy movies.

My list is always changing I pretty much like all of them evenly... if I had to rank them...
Raiders Crusade Temple
I haven't seen Skull... it's on my list but I just haven't got around to it.

Skull is pretty good, you may as well see it if you like the others.

Skull is pretty good, you may as well see it if you like the others. Yeah, I have the blu ray set it's just in my pile of stuff to watch. Though you are like the only person I've seen refer to it as pretty good ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I was disappointed with it at first but rewatches and time have definitely been kind to it for me.

The order in which they were released. This would be my order too. As times gone by I'm not that keen on Last Crusade as I used to be.

My biggest gripe about Crusade is they made Marcus out to be a bumbling fool, which he wasn't in Raiders.
Oh, and Henry Jones Sr. having a higher death count than Indy.

Shia is irritating at times, but is in no way as annoying as sidekick as Willie or Short Round. There's a few stupid moments (the fridge, the monkeys, and the finale), but to me it's more of an Indiana Jones film than Temple will ever be.

Chalk me up for Order of Release too.
I don't consider Crystal Skull to be the awful, awful travesty that a lot of fans do, but there is absolutely no reason why that movie should even exist. Last Crusade literally ended with Indy riding off into the sunset, fer cryin' out loud!

Last Crusade literally ended with Indy riding off into the sunset, fer cryin' out loud! Yup. Too much time past, for one. Two, movies had changed too much. Three, without going into religion, I don't know how you top an artifact that was supposedly held by the most iconic person ever, and said artifact could let you live forever. Four, we needed a movie that didn't feel too close to Raiders or Crusade...that didn't have that. On top of that, no memorable score like the other 3. Implausible actions of characters, unlike the other 3. Practically zero violence like the other 3. Poor ensemble cast, minus Shia, who was okay. Just a lot of disappointment instead of actual "hate".

For me it was the last role of his where I found him tolerable and not annoying. It would have been okay if it was just him and Indy. We didn't need Marion, John Hurt was pointless and annoying. And Indy should have just killed Mac the second he tried to be friendly again. We didn't need a dozen betrayals. The dynamic was lost when they had Shia doing a bunch of dumb shit in the second half of the movie. The first half was actually fairly good.

They definitely should've axed Oxley and Mac, both were pointless and contributed zero.

Raiders is first for me. Followed closely by Crusade. Skull just barely edges out Temple for the third spot.
While I'd seen Raiders once when I was younger, Skull being released had me wanting to watch all the movies. So I watched them in order, and while I didn't dislike Temple, it just feels weird having that movie in between two great ones. Meanwhile, you kind of expect a movie like Skull (with such a long gap between it and Crusade, an aged Ford...) to take a dip in quality.

I wonder if anyone else likes Last Crusade the least? I still enjoy it but it just falls a little flat compared to the rest for me (even Skull). It's the only one with a "been there, done that" feeling and it just doesn't come off as entertaining to me, though I always do find it tremendously entertaining.
