The Rangers won game 1 in 1979 and lost the series. They lost game 1 in 1994 and won the series. It's only game 1.

The Kings are cheating death again.
Comeback again? Man, they are playing with an inferno here. They're gonna get burned at some point. They're not invincible, but it seems like they are incapable of being knocked out.

Or maybe they are playing good teams and that results in close games or neck and neck matchups. It's not like they are choosing to do this.

Yeah outside of the first sloppy period of the Kings who are barely rested, they dominated the Rangers. If the Rangers are going to win it'll because of Lundqvist

Yeah, it wasn't like they played fairly poorly for the first 15 minutes. And then their coach didn't make adjustments to counter the speed and forecheck being thrown at them. It has nothing to do with being a team that adapts to adversity.

But coming from behind again and again? It's not sustainable forever. Just ask the 2013 Patriots.

But coming from behind again and again? It's not sustainable forever. Just ask the 2013 Patriots. Don Cherry once said a 2-0 lead is the worst lead in hockey. It's f***ing true. Just look at every playoff game this series. The Columbus and Pittsburgh series was the prime example of that. Hell there is a 50/50 chance for the Oilers to win a game if they are trailing 2-0. Plus this is 2-0 in the first period from two quick early goals and they made it 2-1 before the period ending.

Like I said before this game started, I don't think Game 1 is very important to either team. Both teams are used to dealing with being in a hole, so I wouldn't write off the Rags just yet.

After last year's game 1 when you thought Boston couldn't recover from that- they blew a two-goal THIRD PERIOD lead and lost in a longer overtime- I'm not discounting NY in game 2.

So it took three weeks to do what everybody knew was going to happen? f***ing pointless. Great job, Pens management. Way to put the guy through a torturous three weeks.

I just don't get the cup or bust mentality in hockey. This isn't the 90's anymore. You should never fire a good coach unless if for sure all your players turned on him and there is no good replacements or good trade returns for those players. A new coach doesn't mean everyone is going to like him from day one. Just look at Eakins all players turned on him within two weeks in the regular season. But then again they fired Krueger who was a beloved coach by all players. f*** what a backward ass franchise Edmonton is

And sometimes a team just needs a change, maybe a certain coach can only get them so far but cannot help them with the metal toughness needed for the playoffs.
