I'd discount the Rangers only this far: once the Kings got their legs under them, they utterly dominated the game. Barring a huge shift, or Henrik standing on his head every game here on out, I don't see that changing too much. The Rangers are a good team; the Kings are elite.
Doesn't mean it's over, obviously, but it's going to take a lot for NY to beat LA.
As for Bylsma, I had heard they held back on firing him to try to keep the Caps from interviewing him, which is screwed up in and of itself. If they're firing him because they don't like the way he utilizes his defense and they think another coach could do better, then I get it. If it's simply "we should be in the Final every year, and you're not doing that, go away", that's ridiculous.
