Is there really anyting to say? DAMN proud of this team. I counted them out after trailing behind to the Pens 3-1. All you negative Nancy's who will refute this strong run, and call it a fluke can stick it. Lundqvist, was on his A-Game but you need more than an elite goalie to win. Let's climb over the hump to go from very good to elite. The LA Kings are elite, end of story. Rangers proved they belonged in the finals. And a 4-1 series loss, doesn't give their caliber of play any justice. Fraternally submitted to Henrik Lundqvist, every player sans Dan Girardi, MSG, Dancing Larry, Cotton Candy refusers, John Amriante, and Sam Rosen, I remain FW91 a proud resident of RANGERSTOWN. I think the rangers have a bright future and I'm sure there stock of becoming a more desirable franchise for players to play in has risen up even higher

Yeah because they never get free agents.

well, not elite ones. they signed good pieces, but never STUDS. They don't draft all that well either They trade very well though.

Who have the missed out on? They always seem to get the big name they go after its just that they go after the wrong big names. Drury, Gomez, Redden, Richards, and Gaborik were among if not the biggest pieces in their years. Some had better results then others. Plus they never seem to lose any key pieces to free agency. Don't blame the draw factor blame who they signed.

Gaborik was the only stud imo. The others they pursued bc they had a reasonable chance. But then again, how many studs ever hit the Open market? Like I don't remember them bidding against other teams for who they signed. they did it with relative ease. when other teams are in the mix, they tend to lose out.

I posted this on Facebook, and I guess I'll post it here, It's a bit long, so I'm sorry about that, but if you'd like to read it, then please be my guest.

The long and extremely painful journey is over. I'm serious, I think this run took like 20 years off of my life expectancy. But with that said, I remember being 8 years old and my journey as a Kings fan beginning. Watching the Frenzy on Figueroa(long time Kings fans know what I'm talking about) and then Adam Deadmarsh getting the game winning goal against the Detroit Red Wings in Game 6 of that same series in 2001 cemented me as Kings fan for life. There were some highs and some lows in 13 years(f***ing Avalanche...) and some dark, dark times. Diehards remember the dark ages when saying you were a Kings fan was almost as embarrassing as saying you willingly listened to Nickelback and enjoyed the music. Then having the biggest kick in the balls happen in 2007 when the Ducks won the Cup...*shutters*.

When 2012 came around, I honestly wasn't expecting much. I was hoping maybe beating the Canucks because, you know, f*** the Canucks. Then we went on that historic run and I asked myself, "Is this even real? Can all of this suffering be worth it?" As everybody knows, in the end it was and I thought it couldn't get any better than that. Last year was gut-wrenching, but you really saw the heart the boys had by literally gutting out two series victories and pushing the Blackhawks to five hard fought games.
This year, I actually was expecting another deep run. Then the SJ series came and being down 0-3. I just kept saying at that point, "Well, just win one game and avoid embarrassing yourselves." We won that game and then I wanted another one. We got that HUGE road win in SJ and by that point I wanted the whole goddamn series. Low and Behold, the boys delivered, and I was over the moon, especially the way they embarrassed the Sharks in San Jose. The next opponent were those scumbags in Anaheim. Again, facing adversity, the boys stepped up and trounced those chumps in their own f***ing building. The Chicago series was arguably the greatest intra-conference final I've seen since those Red Wings/Avalanche series in the late-90s, early-00s. To bet them felt sooooooo satisying, especially given the way the Kings lost the year before. Finally, this Stanley Cup had so many twists and turns, it almost felt like we went to seven games with the Rangers instead of 5. These last two games were driving me mad. When we were down 2-1 in tonight, I was losing my goddamn mind, I should have known better than to doubt in this group. They had pretty much come back in every single series and they did it in the first two games of this series. Finally, being *this* close to a heart attack, seeing A-mart nail that goal....man, I'm still speechless. I really can't believe it.

Also, full marks to the New York Rangers, They battled with everything they had and then some. Henrik Lundqvist was a f***ing beast the last two games and really deserves the title of one of the two best goalies in the world. The Rangers have a hell of a future and I look forward to perhaps battling them again at some point in the future for Lord Stanley's Cup. You guys have nothing to be ashamed of. Good look next year.

Anyways, sorry for writing this really long, boring essay and cluttering up your feeds. I probably sound like a dork, but what the f*** do I cafe? The Kings are the motherf***ing STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO KINGS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I know about that one. The other two big blunders happened during 1995 and 2003. The worst one was probably the 1995 Draft that was held in Edmonton, the whole crowd was chanting Doan when the Oilers were up for selection but chose Steve Kelly instead. At lease they drafted Laraque the next round. The other bad blunder was in 2003 when the Oilers traded their 17th pick (NJ used to select Parise) for the 22nd pick (Marc Antoine Pouliet) and the 68th pick (JF Jaques)

Well they are a team that's built for the grind of the playoffs. I bet a lot of teams are going to try model themselves after the Kings/Bruins this offseason. Also lots of interviews looking for character guys.

Its not how you start, its how you finish. Idt this team took games off. We had a great start but a stagnant offense in December/January. It wasn't til Gaborik came along after the Olympic break that the offense and team took off. Late in the year you can we settled a bit, but we won when it mattered most.
