Is there really anyting to say? DAMN proud of this team. I counted them out after trailing behind to the Pens 3-1. All you negative Nancy's who will refute this strong run, and call it a fluke can stick it. Lundqvist, was on his A-Game but you need more than an elite goalie to win. Let's climb over the hump to go from very good to elite. The LA Kings are elite, end of story. Rangers proved they belonged in the finals. And a 4-1 series loss, doesn't give their caliber of play any justice. Fraternally submitted to Henrik Lundqvist, every player sans Dan Girardi, MSG, Dancing Larry, Cotton Candy refusers, John Amriante, and Sam Rosen, I remain FW91 a proud resident of RANGERSTOWN. (Haven't posted all playoff run due to petty supersttious reasons, and to avoid subjective ranger hate over here

I think the rangers have a bright future and I'm sure there stock of becoming a more desirable franchise for players to play in has risen up even higher

Total fluke. Kings didn't deserve it. They should've been done 2 months ago. Not a good team. At all.
Just speaking for Unocal since he's currently in shock.

I always liked Reghyr so it's good to see him win the cup. f*** I still can't believe Oilers traded two time cup champions Stoll and Greene for Visnovsky!

They don't draft all that well either They trade very well though.

They always seem to get the big name they go after its just that they go after the wrong big names. Drury, Gomez, Redden, Richards, and Gaborik were among if not the biggest pieces in their years. Some had better results then others. Plus they never seem to lose any key pieces to free agency. Don't blame the draw factor blame who they signed.

The others they pursued bc they had a reasonable chance. But then again, how many studs ever hit the Open market? Like I don't remember them bidding against other teams for who they signed. they did it with relative ease. when other teams are in the mix, they tend to lose out.

End of an era for CBC.
Rogers has some Bob Lanier-sized shoes to fill next fall.
Hell of a game to end HNIC.

The long national nightmare is over. Lucky teams luck runs out I'm far from being a Ranger's fan, but the Rangers were the best team in this years Eastern Conference Playoffs, period.

You probably shouldn't ever look up the players the Oilers didn't bother to draft when they had the chance... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}One was Martin Brodeur.

The other two big blunders happened during 1995 and 2003. The worst one was probably the 1995 Draft that was held in Edmonton, the whole crowd was chanting Doan when the Oilers were up for selection but chose Steve Kelly instead. At lease they drafted Laraque the next round. The other bad blunder was in 2003 when the Oilers traded their 17th pick (NJ used to select Parise) for the 22nd pick (Marc Antoine Pouliet) and the 68th pick (JF Jaques)

The Kings may not actually play hockey until the playoffs come along, but why fix what ain't broken with 2 cups in 3 seasons. Not bad, Kings. Not bad.

Well they are a team that's built for the grind of the playoffs. I bet a lot of teams are going to try model themselves after the Kings/Bruins this offseason. Also lots of interviews looking for character guys. 1. Size up front 2. Solid Defense back 3. Elite world class Goalie in back

Idt this team took games off. We had a great start but a stagnant offense in December/January. It wasn't til Gaborik came along after the Olympic break that the offense and team took off. Late in the year you can we settled a bit, but we won when it mattered most.
