They are sadly going to do better then Edmonton this year. By a few spots in the standings. I got Carolina. Winnipeg for the west

In all seriousness though, we looked lazy. Just outright lazy. We couldn't make a pass to save our lives, we were trying the same plays over and over when it was obvious that the Sharks knew what we were doing. We got outworked along the boards, people looked slow, etc. It almost seemed like we didn't want to play this game. Maybe the team knew that the Sharks were going to come out with everything they had and just let them have the game for closure's sake. Anyways, I don't think DS or the coaching staff is going to let this fly for the second game. Onward toward Phoenix.

I don't think it's harsh. It's the truth.

Look, there's always room for improvement. I love the 2 Cups in 3 years, but I want more. All the fans want more. Hell, the whole goddamn organization wants more. You can see it in their attitudes and their conduct. This was the Banner Raising night. You would think they'd come out with a little umph. Efforts like tonight should not be tolerated on a consistent basis.

Season opener for the Blackhawks tonight, away at a Dallas Stars team who may surprise a few this season. Hopefully a good start going into a four game homestand against Buffalo, Calgary, Nashville and Philadelphia.

There are seven teams that have legitimate aspirations for a playoff berth in the Metropolitan.

And then there's Carolina.

My Hurricanes are gonna be the worst, hands-down, especially since one of our best scorers on a team that is pretty lousy offensively is out for a few months.

I hope it's not just because of last season, or the fact that its opening night. But the Rangers are finally getting a decent about of media coverage here in NYC. Hope this becomes a regular thing
