2 goals by Nash and a breakaway beauty by Kreider give the Rangers the victory. That's the good news. The bad news is that Dan Boyle broke his hand and will be out 4-6 weeks.

For the Devil fans on here, I've got an interesting what-if:
If the Devils lost to the Panthers in the 2012 playoffs, does Zach Parise still depart?
I honestly say no.
That playoff run boosted his stock mightily. If he goes into free agency with another one-and-done (And he wasn't exactly the #1 reason they got by Florida), who knows?
Does MIN sign someone else instead to pair with Suter? I think so.

Jeff Skinner done busted his head (i.e. he suffered a pretty nasty concussion). So, add yet another player from an already bad offense to be out.
Kinda depressing that this is the only game on tonight.

Good win last night for the Flames to make up for game one. And more imporatantly, the Habs are currently 2-0.  Hoping for another good performance from tomorrow. I think Malhotra is going to turn out to be a great fit for them. They've been desperate for someone to take some of the faceoff slack from Plekanec, as he's a better defensive player than Plekanec. A great start to what I hope is another good season. |
