Rumors going around the Flyers turned down a trade for Yakupov. I wonder what the Oilers wanted because at this point I'm ready to start making some changes.

Knowing the Oilers they probably asked for Voracek or Girioiux or some shit. I would love to have Simmonds or Courtier on the Oilers but especially Simmonds.

You guys are going to have to trade a hell of a lot more than Yak to get Simmer or Couts.

Dude still plays hard every game and he shoots the puck a lot be just has an abnormal low shooting percentage of the likes I have never seen. But yeah another reason to fire management and Eakins because the only Oiler with any real value is Hall

The Blackhawks have loved their 4-1 wins lately - the last three games (Ducks away, Kings away, Blues at home) all won by that scoreline. Habs at home tomorrow.

So reports are going around saying the Oilers are interested in getting Mark Messier to be the next HC. This team, man.

So reports are going around saying the Oilers are interested in getting Mark Messier to be the next HC. This team, man. It has been confirmed every year since 2009-2010 season that the Oilers have approached Mark Messier to their headcoach. What I find funny is how Mark Messier desperately wants to be an associate or the head coach of NYR but Sather keeps turning him down because well he's an unproven coach. At least Roy coached in the juniors for seven years with success before he got a job in the NHL. But this is proof that Katz doesn't care about winning he just wants to hang out with his drinking buddies from the 80's while listening to Glory Days on repeat as long he's making money. Seriously Edmonton Torts and Bylsma are the perfect coaches to coach the team just make them an offer to be the highest paid coach in the league please!!!

talbot will be in net for the rangers tomorrow against detroit interesting he's getting more playing time after only playing 2 games in the last 14 a few days ago now 3 starts in the last 5 games maybe slowly taking over lundqvist's job? also i just gotta say it's going to be really weird saying brodeur is on the blues

Lundqvist is probably nursing an injury or something but they don't want to put him on the IR list.
But he's there for the long term and still one of the elite goalies in the NHL. He's not going anywhere, much less being replaced by Cam Talbot.

The Rangers lost a lot of their team in the off season and a lot of their D-men. He hasn't adjusted to the corps in front of him. Plus I do think he may be nursing some injury as previously stated.

if lundqvist is nursing an injury then it's stupid to let him play because if the injury gets worse he'll be out for an even longer time than if they do something now
and with that being said cam talbot is not a starting goaltender last year he could barely perform well after playing 2 games in a row

Last minute win for the Blackhawks last night, 4-3 over the Habs. Enjoyed both the games we played against them this season, hoping it'll be the Stanley Cup Final.

Brodeur playing for the Blues is like Bobby Orr playing for the Blackhawks.

Brodeur playing for the Blues is like Bobby Orr playing for the Blackhawks. Seriously when was the last time a legendary player or any player who had a 15+ season career retired with playing for only one team. Lemieux? It doesn't even happen in the NFL anymore. I hate these one day contracts as well.

And holy shit the oilers won a game and after 27 games the Oilers also finally beat a western conference team. All I can say is f*** because Katz probably views MacTavish press conference about nothing and arrogance as a epic rallying up the troops speech and he's probably writing up 20 year extensions to Lowe/MacTavish/Eakins as we speak

Fuel finished a recent homestand. Still mad at myself for spacing out on watching the only game where Florida came to town. I wanted to see the Everblade sweaters so badly on TV.
