And holy shit the oilers won a game and after 27 games the Oilers also finally beat a western conference team. All I can say is f*** because Katz probably views MacTavish press conference about nothing and arrogance as a epic rallying up the troops speech and he's probably writing up 20 year extensions to Lowe/MacTavish/Eakins as we speak The Oilers won the other night?? I thought someone f***ed up when I saw the score and they put more goals down for the Oilers than the Sharks. |

Due to me not watching TV very often this is the first Avs game I've seen thus far this season; I'm a terrible fan!   My main concern thus far; I'm not seeing any offense. The Preds are given all day to toy around near our net, but anytime the Avs have the puck they're getting manhandled and all it takes is a few seconds for Nashville to get the puck back. Varly being out sucks, too, but this new kid seems promising thus far. |

Due to me not watching TV very often this is the first Avs game I've seen thus far this season; I'm a terrible fan! My main concern thus far; I'm not seeing any offense. The Preds are given all day to toy around near our net, but anytime the Avs have the puck they're getting manhandled and all it takes is a few seconds for Nashville to get the puck back. Varly being out sucks, too, but this new kid seems promising thus far. Pickard has been straight up better than Varly this year. The offense is bad, and the D is worse. They just stand there a lot, rather than moving, and that is very bad for a team this fast. |

I think Eakins is the biggest winner in life. Dude is on pace to become the coach to earn 100 losses casted then any other coach in NHL History and still has a job. Dude still has a job despite losing 13 out of the last 14 games and there are three unemployed Jack Adam winning coaches with Torts, Bylsma, and MacLean. Sure they probably hang up when they see the words MacTavish or Lowe on called ID or pick up the phone and laugh which is another reason they should go if talented people don't want to work with you. But Jesus the arrogance of this organization is incredible! Like did Mac T really call the Oilers visually better then the Sharks two days ago?

Wow, what a win! Complete opposite from the game the other night, as from the very start the team was playing with fire and heart. Hopefully they can bring this team out every game, because when they put it all together you realize how impressive a team they really can be.
Captain Picard in goal is an absolute beast, as well. Crazy guy.

Jonathan Toews got an upper body injury yesterday against Boston, but he'll travel with the Blackhawks to Long Island tomorrow for the game with the Islanders, and may well play in it.

This is a team that can't hold a lead or make a comeback
Now the hold the lead part I can see coming along with the young talent we have on the blueline plus the goaltending of Cory Schneider I hope that rectifies itself next season if not this season as everyone plays in the NHL and the true NHLers separate themselves on the blueline from the pretenders and career AHLers. Now if we can clean house with our forwards trade anyone of use and hopefully get someone who is ready to break out with Jagr or anyone of value (big if) it should be a painless rebuild from this moment on. But idk I’m an optimist
